4) Each group will choose a healthy recipe to help them create a hands-on activity plan and implement it in class. Remember that in order to follow a recipe, children need visual cues and all of the materials ready and accessible to them. Please also be thinking about food allergies. You will need to survey the peers in your class to see if there are any existing food allergies. Each group will need to have their recipe into your instructor for prior approval so every group does not have the same food creations. 5) Remember to use your text book knowledge of appropriate topics and curriculum planning to create a lesson plan that is developmentally appropriate for children. Chapter 21 will be a great resource for this activity plan. The DTCC library and Nemours information will also be useful. Your purposes and objective should be evident in the Activity section of your plan. If they are not you need to go back and rewrite your purposes &/or objectives, or realign the Activity. When you are done with your activity writing please take time to proof read your work for spelling and grammar. Your final step is to ask yourself, If I was not there tomorrow to implement this activity, could another student/teacher implement this activity with no questions? It is essential that you include LOTS of detailed information. If you have questions regarding your plans PLEASE talk with a classmate or your instructor.
