After being lucky enough to purchase our own used brass instruments, we now host at
least over 12 children and youths per day during school times and during holidays we
host over 25 children and youths per day.
Our mission is to help the underprivileged children through by spreading love and joy
of music to the orphans and poor kids of our community. Currently, we have 50
beneficiaries. We also have plans to expand our provision more widely through
implementation of brass music education for young people on site. Whilst it is becoming
increasingly challenging to find new sponsors, we are hopeful of continuing to obtain
new supporters for our work. We look forward to what 2022 has to bring.

Future Plans
As we have grown in brass music, so has our reach and our impact on the community of Butogota
Kanungu. At the same time, the organization has stayed small in size and intends to remain as such to
maintain the personal community involvement that has become the trademark of BFC. If we own our land,
building and the basic groundwork laid, we will have to set further growth activities and consolidation of our
own operations as well as the sustainable development of the community we support.
This includes plans to increase local income generation, introducing vocational training in house as well as
supporting exit strategies for those children we support who are now above 24 years and finishing their
secondary education. We also intend to continue with the development of our new building and land,
including additional rooms and spaces which will allow us to introduce new programs to further support the
community of Butogota kanungu.
There are many exciting ideas and activities planned for 2022 and we hope you will join us on the journey
towards achieving them.
