Sacraments - Penance

1- 1.5 hours   
After the assembly, KFL’s will be more aware of the things that hurt God, but He always gives us another opportunity to renew our relationship with him. To have a deeper consciousness of the way we act towards ourselves and to others. To understand better the importance of the penance or forgiveness “Come to the Lord, and leave your sin behind. Pray sincerely that He will help you live a better life – Sirach 17:25”

Suggested Activities

All Things are Possible
for Senior Kids: 1. Storytelling of lives of sinners whom Jesus forgave (eg. Joseph the dreamer and his brothers, Prodigal Son)  We may commit mistakes; hurt people who loves us, but we should never forget to say sorry and ask for forgiveness and try not to do it again.  When bad things happen to us, just remember that God is always with you. When you pray to him, God is there to listen to your troubles and is willing to forgive you and love you. 2. Examination of Conscience using the Lord’s Prayer

 Help the kids to examine themselves using the Lord’s prayer for Junior Kids: 1. Help the man to find the right way to Jesus (maze)  Explain the kids that when we commit mistakes, we are not only hurting the people we love but also to God.  But through the death of Jesus Christ, we are being saved and forgiven because God loves us. 2. Identification of good and bad actions  Be able to identify the good and bad actions  Think of ways how to make bad actions to a good deed
