Of Mice &Men
When two friends share a dream, they¶ll stick together to accomplish this dream. ³Of Mice &Men´ by John Steinbeck, is about two men who go through thick and thin trying to accomplish this dream. These two men are different in both mental, and physical traits which make them have to rely on each other. I have compiled a few quotes to prove this. One of the biggest differences between the two men is their mental qualities, mainly smart vs. dumb. George is the smart one of the two men, it¶s his job to make sure that Lennie says and does the correct things so that they don¶t get into trouble. As George and Lennie sit down and talk before they leave for the ranch the next day, George makes sure that Lennie knows what to do when they get there; when Lennie answers correctly, George says, ³Good boy! That¶s fine, Lennie!´ (15). After Lennie accidently killed Curly¶s wife, George found him by the pond, George pulled out a gun, put it to Lennie¶s head, ³The hand shook violently, but his face set and his hand steadied´ (106). George always knows what to do, whether it¶s in a good or bad situation. Lennie isn¶t at all very bright; some even say that he has the brain of a little child. As soon as George and Lennie get to the pond, Lennie starts to drink from it and George says, ³Lennie, for God¶ sakes don¶t drink so much´ (3). Curly is not Lennie¶s biggest fan, so one day he picks a fight with him and Lennie says, ³I don¶t want ta hurt you´ (91). Throughout the book Lennie does things that he doesn¶t want to do cause he doesn¶t understand what he is doing wrong. Lennie and George are complete opposites with their mental abilities, as well as their physical abilities.

George needs Lennie¶s brute strength to help him in difficult times. Lennie is profoundly big. these quotes support how much Lennie and George need each other. Lennie is described as.
