Analysis score:

The song Una Furtiva Lagrima is an aria song. The key is in Bb minor and tempo is Larghetto between
60-66 bp.The song does not use a lot of musical term and it only used common musical term such as P,
crescendo, decrescendo, f, fermata hold and the term that I rarely seen is smorzando.

Musical term:

-p -soft(indicates that the dynamics quickly, almost abruptly, lower the volume.)

-f -forte(forte is present it means this music should be played loud)
-PP -pianissimo(it means to play very soft)
-smorz meaning -smorzando(in a way that dies away)
-crescendo - gradually increasing sound.
-decrecendo - decrease in loudness.
-fermata hold - the note over which it is placed should be held on beyond it natura duration.
-appoggiaturas - grace note(ornamental note of long or short duration that temporarily
displaces, and subsequently resolves into, a main note, usually by stepwise
motion)

Lyric translation:

Una furtiva lagrima A furtive tear

negli occhi suoi spuntò: in her eyes appeared:
Quelle festose giovani Those festive young girls
invidiar sembrò. she seemed to envy.

Che più cercando io vo? What more need I look for?

Che più cercando io vo? What more need I look for?
M'ama! Sì, m'ama, She loves me! Yes, she loves me,
lo vedo, lo vedo. I see it, I see it.

Un solo istante i palpiti For a single instant the beats

del suo bel cor sentir! of her beautiful heart to hear!
I miei sospir confondere My sighs to blend
per poco a' suoi sospir! for a while with her sighs!
I palpiti, i palpiti sentir, Her heartbeats, her heartbeats to hear,
confondere i miei co' suoi sospir. my sighs with hers to merge.

Cielo, si può morir; Heavens! One could die!

di più non chiedo, non chiedo. More I cannot ask, I cannot ask.
Ah, cielo! Si può! Si può morir! Oh, heavens! One could, one could die!
Di più non chiedo, non chiedo. More I cannot ask, I cannot ask.
Si può morir! Si può morir d'amor. One could die! One could die of love!
