AMPLUS ACADEMY STUDENT LOSS

[LAS VEGAS, Nevada, January 2023] Our community at Amplus Academy is mourning the
death of one of our beloved 12th grade students, Jordan Brister. Jordan experienced a
cardiac arrest while at school on January 3, 2023. Amplus staff provided Jordan with
emergency medical attention until paramedics arrived and transported him to Southern Hills
Hospital. Despite the efforts of first responders and the medical team at the hospital,
Jordan passed away this past Sunday.

Amplus Academy’s Crisis Response Team, including our school counselors, licensed therapists
and social workers, are working to support students and staff as they process this grief.
Additional staffing was also brought into the school to work alongside our employees.

As the entire Amplus community mourns this devastating loss, we continue to respect the
privacy of Jordan’s family as they grieve as well as providing ongoing love and support. A "Go
Fund Me” account has been set up on Jordan’s behalf.
