To be honest nothing much has happened as we have been closed due a horrendous amount of snow! We tried to open on Monday mor ning as it Pukeokahu Hill from John and seemed to be clearing at Carolʼs House. 7am, but bang on 8.45am with all of the kids arriving it started to snow again. It’s better to be safe than sorry, so off home they went again. I dutifully set the heat pumps everyday for the next morning, but unfortunately the snow thwarted us every time (though it was quite wonderful not losing electricity for any significant amount of time). We have some really super photos up on our website and Facebook page if you would like to see. By the way who else

saw our school and John Gilbert feeding out on TV One News on Monday night? You can watch it on TV on Demand on the TVNZ website. So we finally all made it to school today, starting late just to be safe from ice in the morning. And now we have our fingers crossed for our school ski trip tomorrow, though I’m not holding my breath, it sounds like the road up is not going to be cleared anytime soon. We may need to rely on our back up day next week. Photos of the Snow Do you have some cool photos to share of the snow? You can either email them to Marama or bring them up to school and we will put them up on our website. School Desks For Sale $30 We have some extra school desks for sale. If you are interested just let me know. School Skiing Trips Just a reminder that we have booked our trips for tomorrow and next Friday 26th of August. I will ring everyone directly for confirmation in the morning to let you know if the mountain is open. The only gear your children require that we cannot hire Tuesday Morning - No getting to are sun glasses or goggles school on this road! and gloves (I think you can get cheap ones from Taihape Sports). Please let me know if you have any questions or any small gear that the juniors can borrow. Thanks. Ka kite ano, Marama and Carol
