Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

We hope you have had a great summer. Ours has been full of fun and adventure. Anna and I have finally gotten to a place where we can send out an update. We pray that you will be encouraged. What have we been doing? Our travels this summer have taken us through 15 states over the course of 3 months! Anna and I have stayed in dorms like college freshman and on Nebraskan farms surrounded by rows of corn. After studying our brains out in 2 seminary classes we were commissioned for a new career in full time ministry. We have had run-ins with everything from bull moose to Vonnette Bright (Campus Crusade cofounder). Our journey took us to altitudes that reached as high as 12,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains and temperatures as hot as 108° in Dallas, Texas. We visited our family scattered abroad and held our 4 month old niece for the first time. So after driving about 75 hours over 4,700 miles WE ARE HOME! Where are we headed? Imagine a university of over 40,000 students centered in one of the largest metro areas of the southeastern United States. It is a large university with a rapidly growing reputation for tradition and prestige. A university where “Go Bulls!” is the battle cry and every student bleeds green and gold. This university boasts of having undergraduates from every state in the US and 125 different countries. In fact, almost 40% of the students on this campus are ethnic minorities! It is a true representation of the increasing cultural diversity that makes America so great! Imagine the incredible range of influence the students of this university will have when they graduate and become leaders in their unique country, culture, and workplace. What would it look like if every student at this university had a chance to hear of the good news of Jesus Christ? This is the very thing that we get to do! God has taken our ministry to the University of South Florida in Tampa! Anna and I are so excited to be in a place with so much potential and can’t wait to get on campus. You and all of our ministry partners have the opportunity to be a part of something BIG! How can you pray?  Before we can start work at USF we must complete our team of ministry partners that will support us monthly. Please pray for us as we go through this process of finding people who God has called to support us. Anna and I want to get to campus as soon as possible. So far we are at about 25% of our total goal. Praise the Lord! Also, Anna is in need of a new laptop (Macbook) as hers bit the dust after 4 years of college. Please pray that God would provide means for a new computer as it is difficult to get things done now days without one. Please pray with us for the students at USF as classes have just started and Cru is kicking off. Pray for all the outreaches to freshmen and Bible studies. Pray that the name of Jesus would be famous at USF.
