First Grade News

August 29-September 2, 2011

What were learning This week we are learning the Bible stories of the Creation of Man and Woman and The First Sin. We will discover how God made Adam and Eve and showed his great love by making his first promise of our Savior, Jesus. We will start reviewing and learning high frequency and sight words as a class while you begin learning them at home. We are learning how words rhyme and identifying specific sounds found in words. In Math we are focusing on writing our numbers correctly, ordering numbers, and making towers. This week science experiments are helping us learn about the 5 senses. We are writing about things we know and care about in Writing. Maps, Spanish, movement, and pitch will also be look at this week.

Jesus Give Away

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:14) Our Gods works are certainly wonderful! He intricately formed us...knowing exactly how we would look, what are interests would be, and who our family would be. At times we find ourselves wishing we were someone else...but God made you exactly the way he wanted you to be, a forgiven child of God eager to serve him with your unique gifts. May He give us peace in our service. Joy in Jesus, Miss Luehring
