Evolution and Revolution with our road bikes we have set new world records and in 2009 a cyclist became World Champion on a Canyon road bike for the first time. We pursue new approaches and set industrywide benchmarks. At Eurobike 2004, the Ultimate CF frame with F10 technology had a tremendous impact. The frames stiffness to weight ratio rose for the first time above the magical 100 mark! A world record! We set out to build the worlds best frame. That aim remains the same, yet progress allows us to advance the limits of whats possible even further. Lightweight, stiffness, comfort and aerodynamics. These are all important aspects of road bike frame building in their own right. We accentuate each of these individual aspects to the full. Every development cycle offers new innovations, greater performance and allows the frame to gleam in renewed splendour. We have very strong partners at our side helping us to realise our aims. Erik Zabel, the most successful German racing cyclist of all time, and the entire UCI ProTour team Omega Pharma - Lotto provide us with crucial feedback. What could be improved further, how does the frame behave on certain types of terrain? These are questions that can only be posed and answered during everyday business on the tough pro cycling circuit. We are in constant contact with the team, speak regularly to Erik Zabel about the latest developments and trends in the industry. But we are also passionate cyclists. This passion is reflected in every screw and in every detail. Have we now already reached the end of the road? No we havent, not if one thinks outside the box. We dont just experiment with existing materials and make maximum use of them. We also venture down untrodden paths and create products with new materials. One example is basalt fibre. We concentrate our efforts on every range of use individually. Alongside our test stands at the University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim, which are run by Prof. Dr. Peter Kohmann, we speak to the toughest and most honest of testers, namely our pro riders. We dont start with the serial production of models until they are all satisfied and have given us their green light on the frame geometry, power transfer and levels of comfort. The rewards are there for all to see. Multiple test victories all over Europe and multiple Bike of the Year awards from Europes largest bike magazines. The Aeroad CF is the new highlight in the Canyon range with its aeorodynamically optimised frame and fork. The Aeroad is a really well balanced frame, as well as being responsive, fast and nevertheless comfortable on longer rides. GRANFONDO 07/2010

Erik Zabel was one of the first to try the frame and he was thrilled as of his first ride. Head tube and rear stays are beautiful. The main tubes perfectly meet the Aero theme. ETE is critical with a love for detail. Premiere at Canyon: Shimano Di2 electronic shifting. But we always push it further: We have adjusted the frame especially for the Japanese top group instead of the side openings for the Bowden cables there is now a small drill hole just behind the head tube. Shifting has never been easier, as precise and possible with as little effort as now. Only the best for the ETE: the Mavic Cosmic Carbone Ultimate. Excellent aerodynamics, low weight and absolute stiffness are the attributes, which make these wheels stand out from the crowd.
