PURE CYCLING
PURE CYCLING
We want to build the best bike. We feel a sense of obligation to satisfy the demands of the biker community and our customers. Thats why we place the utmost demands upon our products and services. This applies to research, design and development as well as to the assembly of bikes and customer service. We take the time to conduct elaborate tests and ride the trail or on the road one more time to find out for ourselves just what it is were creating, so we really know what were talking about. We want to take responsibility for our sport and for promoting the spirit of a large biker community. This is something we do with all the passion we can muster. We want to share our passion for the sport. Being part of a community of like-minded people means we have a constant exchange of ideas with our customers in order to stay well informed about the demands they place on our products. The customers are our motivators, provide us with impetus and are also our advisors. We actively seek contact to them and endeavour to engage with them in a fair dialogue. We represent a forum and community for passionate racing cyclists where there is an active discussion and exchange of ideas. This enables both us and the customers to progress together. This solidarity with the biker community forms our backbone and helps us to keep in perspective why we actually do the work we do. We aim to give the sport impetus because it's the sport that has given us that very same impetus. Therefore we also want to give every biker the chance to make his own personal contribution.

Mountain biking is all about passion. For us passion stretches from cross-country to freeride, from super-light hardtails right through to bikepark machines with bags of travel in reserve. Every facet of mountain biking is a part of us and we settle for nothing less than the best with every model we produce. We compose the optimum bike for every range of use. Our development team is at the cutting edge of development and sometimes even ahead of its time. The team can spot the potential of new technologies with computer generated models as well as on the trails, thereby setting trends in the industry.
We concentrate our efforts on every range of use individually. Alongside our test stands at the University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim, which are run by Prof. Dr. Peter Kohmann, we speak to the toughest and most honest of testers, namely our pro riders. We dont start with the serial production of models until they are all satisfied and have given us their green light on the frame geometry, power transfer and levels of comfort. The rewards are there for all to see. Multiple test victories all over Europe and multiple Bike of the Year awards from Europes largest bike magazines. After the very first test ride youll realise that all our efforts were worth it.

Erik Zabel
Erik Zabel was one of the first to try the frame and he was thrilled as of his first ride. Head tube and rear stays are beautiful. The main tubes perfectly meet the Aero theme. ETE is critical with a love for detail. Premiere at Canyon: Shimano Di2 electronic shifting. But we always push it further: We have adjusted the frame especially for the Japanese top group instead of the side openings for the Bowden cables there is now a small drill hole just behind the head tube. Shifting has never been easier, as precise and possible with as little effort as now. Only the best for the ETE: the Mavic Cosmic Carbone Ultimate. Excellent aerodynamics, low weight and absolute stiffness are the attributes, which make these wheels stand out from the crowd. Aerodynamics, individually adjustable riding characteristics, ergonomics and looks these are the attributes that distinguish the Aeroad CF 9.0 ETE from the pack.

An impressive overall and frame design characterise the Strive ESX. But what good is that apart from giving the bike a stylish appearance? For starters you can now fit a bottle cage to your enduro bike and when youre on a mega tough Alpine crossing youll be especially happy if your rucksack is a bit lighter and you reduce pressure on your shoulders. Form follows function this is a principle that Canyon holds dear more than ever before.

A bike for everyone and everything. Well balanced geometry, mega riding fun, top equipment and minimal weight. Great! The final verdict: Outstanding, test winner! (MOUNTAINBIKE 06/2010) "Superb value-for-money" (CYKEL MOTION Dnemark 04/2010)
A bike for everybody and everything. Well-balanced geometry, mega riding fun, premium equipment and minimal weight. Brilliant! Test winner! MOUNTAINBIKE magazine (06/10) is thrilled and its final verdict was outstanding. We have now adapted the frame once again and with the hydroforming top tube we can now do without a gusset on the seat tube - that means more stability due to the reduced number of weld seams. The high-end suspension from the American cult brand Fox impresses with the 32 F120 FIT RL fork and the RP2 shock with its high volume XXV-air chamber. Top performance for uphill specialists and trail junkies.

The Grand Canyon wipes the floor with the competition and proves that theres more to a good bike than just its range of components. This was the verdict on the Grand Canyon AL 6.0 following its test victory in MOUNTAINBIKE magazine (04/2009). However, its always better to get a second opinion. BIKE Tipp Race verdict for the Grand Canyon AL 6.0 (03/2010), The lightest frame in the field and the best fork of all the bikes tested the RockShox Reba SL meant that the bike also was the leader of the pack in the downhill stakes. In 2011 the bike will be fitted with the improved RockShox Reba RL and the Shimano Dyna-Sys 10-speed technology.
