Software for citations

There are quite a number of citation handles. The most notable ones; EndNote (commercial) BibTEX based software (JabRef), KBibTEX

In Fedora Linux world. . .

I would suggest. . .

JabRef - for handling citations or perhaps, if you happy, use KBibTEX
A Kile (KDE based) LTEX editor

Installing KBibTEX Kile is a simple as

sudo yum install kbibtex kile -y

However for JabRef, you need to download the JAR file (Java based) from http://jabref.sourceforge.net

To simplify called this JabRef JAR file, instead of calling

java -jar jabref<version-number>
Simply create desktop entry shortcut ... name it jabref.desktop

[Desktop Entry] Name=Jabref GenericName=Jabref Exec=java -jar /home/najmi/JabRef-2.7.jar Icon=jabref Terminal=false Type=Application
