Silent Reading

Book Talk
Now that you have finished your first silent reading book (or will soon), I would like you to share your book with the class. To share your book with the class, you will be asked to do a book talk. This will be an informal presentation to inform the class about the book that you have chosen. For your book talks, you will need to include the following information

Title and author of your book The general plot (without giving the end away) What you liked most about your book Why others may like your book Leave us with something to look forward tomake us want to read your book!!!

In addition, make sure that you bring a visual aid to associate with your book talk. This visual aid can be as simple as bringing the book in for us to see, having a printout of the book cover and additional information, making a small poster with information about the book and author, etc.

Please look at the grading rubric on the back so that you can properly prepare for this assignment.

Just think, by the time we all present our books, we will be exposed to approximately thirty books that we can check out and read in the future!!!
