Pro-Life Advocates to Bring Live 4D Ultrasounds to Congress
Over the last decade ultrasound technology has gained enormous respect especially with so many pro-life supporters touting its benefits. Now, advocates will literally take ultrasounds to members of Congress to show them the humanity of the unborn child. The Voices from the Womb project co-sponsored by pro-life advocates Brandi Swindell and Rev. Patrick Mahoney will kick-off their national campaign in the Congressional Auditorium on October 13. This project will feature live real time ultrasounds being performed on women in the first, second and third trimesters of pregnancy so close to Congress that members of the House and Senate can walk to see them. All 535 members of Congress and the public will be invited to the presentation, where they can witness the amazing technology revealing the intricate development of human life at its various stages before birth. After the showing on Capitol Hill, Voices from the Womb will begin a national tour performing live ultrasounds in schools, churches, state capitals and public hearings as a means of educating the public on fetal development and encouraging people to oppose abortion. Defense Coalition, adds, For years, people have come to Washington, D.C. to have their voices heard. Dr. Martin Luther King came to advance civil rights. Susan B. Anthony came to secure voting rights for women Now for the first time in history, the pre-born children of America are coming to Capitol Hill to have their voices heard in our nations capital, Mahoney added. After the showing of Voices from the Womb on Capitol Hill, we plan on showing live ultrasounds in schools, churches, state capitals and legislative hearings. We believe as America sees and hears from pre-born children they will embrace justice and human rights for all and work to end the violence of abortion.

New Bill Would Fund Abstinence Programs in Schools

The current presidential administration of the United States continues to discriminate against abstinence education for our youth as well as eliminate funding for these programs. National Abstinence Education Association director Valerie Huber states, With the numerous sex scandals continually played out in the media, it is disturbing that programs encouraging selfrestraint and self-respect are viewed as the enemy of the healthy marriages these programs are designed to achieve. Recently the House of Representatives announced legislation that could change this and allow funding for abstinence programs. A bill called The AbstinenceCentered Education Reallocation Act, sponsored by Rep. Randall Hultgren, will prioritize sexual purity and abstinence education programs. This bill follows a recent study of The National Survey of Adolescents and Their Parents that reported almost 70% of parents and teens support the abstinence until marriage message. Other members of Congress are being encouraged to co-sponsor the Abstinence Education Reallocation Act in hopes that the House will quickly approve the federal sex education policy change that is called for in this bill.

Voices from the Womb will give members of Congress the opportunity, for the first time, to hear from the preborn children of America, says Brandi Swindell, Founder and President of Stanton Healthcare. They will have the chance to see and hear the beating heart of a 12 week old pre-born child. They will witness the miracle and beauty of an 18 week old child where they can clearly see their face, fingers and toes Through the power of this amazing window to the womb all pro-choice politics and arguments will melt away. Americas leaders will be able to see, for the first time, the humanity of the child and the fact that we must do all that we can as a nation to protect the weakest members of our society and stand for universal rights, she said. Client Story
A little over a year ago Latanya Taylor came to our center. She was upset and confused about many things that were happening in her life especially her recent pregnancy with baby number four. She was just not sure that having another baby was something she was prepared to handle. Latanya and son Jonathan. She agreed to speak with one of our peer counselors who encouraged her to make an informed decision rather than an emotional one. Still bewildered she left the center uncertain. Well, we had an amazing surprise this past September 8th. Latanya showed up at the center with baby Jonathan in tow. She explained to us that her counselor had such a humble and gentle spirit that really impressed upon her heart to choose life for her baby!! Latanya and Jonathan live happily with dad and three siblings. Latanya has also re-dedicated her life to Christ and attends a local area church. We were absolutely delighted to have her come and visit our center for this wonderful update. We are just as thrilled to have her tell her story to our supporters in this newsletter. It is Latanyas desire to help as many people as she can with her experience. Look for Latanya at our 2012 annual banquet. She will be giving her testimony at the Inn at Pocono Manor.

West End Fair

This was our very first year joining the ranks of the many tables and vendors at the West End Fair. Since so many blessings of provision come into the center annually we were able to give away lots of formula, blankets, strollers, and toddler clothes. We were even able to give a substantial amount of things to Operation Christmas Child for Honduras. It was amazing to see the looks on kids faces when they unwrapped their Bible scripture fortune cookies or gazed at our signature 10-12 week squishy babies. Even our abstinence doll Baby Think it Over caught the attention of many as they thought it was it a real live baby. Special thanks goes to the many individuals who helped set up and man the table at the fair: Tracey Farmer, Amy Gary, Carol Tice, Arlene and Tom Richmond, Aimee Light, Rachel Heater, Carol ONeill, Anna Marie Burkey, Mary Ellen Bingman, Bruce Dunlop, and Pastor George Cook of Nehemiah Center. We would like to extend an extra thank you towards the businesses that contributed to the cost of our table. Texas Roadhouse, Everybodys Caf, Perkins Restaurant and the Follow Me Foundation.

Our little cubicle at the fair

We are going strong with almost $4,000 in funds saved towards going medical. Also, a local organization is very interested in giving funding for the entire cost of the machine itself! God is awesome. What we currently need is to have a medical staff in place. This would include a nurse manager, a medical director and a sonographer. We urge you to please pray for the unfolding of these plans. If you happen to know anyone who would fit the criteria of either a nurse, sonographer or a medical doctor that would be willing to donate their services on a very part-time basis, please let us know as soon as possible. 570-424-0373, 570-992-5287 or Thank you so much!! FYI: Ultrasound uses sound waves instead of radiation so the procedure is completely safe for the human body. This is a three month old fetus being viewed via 4D ultrasound.

Ultrasound is a computerized picture derived from bouncing sound waves.

Abstinence Program-Baby Think it Over

Anna is still working fervently on the Baby Think it Over program. She has raised approximately $600 towards the cost of a new and updated version of the doll. This doll when purchased will be used with clients, schools and youth groups to promote abstinence in our teens. It is trendy in this day and age to not only be sexually active but to even plan a family at extremely young ages. Some as early as middle school. Interested youth will spend a night or two with the infant in their homes and the local community. They will be solely responsible for feedings, changing the baby and tending to all of its needs. Often the outcome is a very tired and overwhelmed teen. They dont realize the amount of patience and work that is involved in parenting, and the huge responsibility and consequences of being sexually active. We are very excited to see the outcomes and responses of the kids when they return with the baby. If you are interested in learning more about the Baby Think it Over program, please go to Or you can contact us at the center at 570-424-0373. If you are interested in donating toward the Baby Think it Over project, you may use the coupon on page 5 and specify in the other space that your gift is a BTIO pledge. Thank you!

Baby Bottle Boomerang

We have had an amazing Baby Bottle Boomerang this year. Several new churches have come aboard and are now doing the collection. This year so far we have received approximately $20,000 in revenue for the center from the boomerang!! We cant say enough about this fundraiser! It is fun, easy and inexpensive for the average person to take part in. Each year the loose change that is in your pockets makes such a huge impact on our center. If you have not gotten a chance to take part in the Baby Bottle Boomerang or you do not know if your church participates, please call the center at 570-4240373 for more details and information. Many Blessings To You!!

Oh give thanks to the Lord for He is good, for His loving kindness is everlasting. Psalm 107:1

Ice Cream Social

We had our first annual Ice Cream Social this past July 28th at the Friendlys in East Stroudsburg. The restaurant was packed, approximately 110 PRC supporters and many existing customers came out for fun and fellowship that evening. Even the manager at Friendlys was impressed. He presented us with a $500 check and told us to schedule another event anytime we want. We had a chance to not only fellowship and make some money for the center, but also meet some new contacts. One individual from a local supporting church made a donation to our ministry as well as connect us with several individuals that will be helping us fund our ultrasound project. We also made a connection with the local Republican Club who would like us to come and speak at one of their meetings. We are so thankful to the Lord for the many new and exciting ways we can reach out to the local community with what we do. We would like to extend a very big thank you to all the individuals and churches who helped to promote this fun and productive evening.

Please join us for our annual Walk for Life this October 15th. Light of the World Church in Stroudsburg has once again graciously donated the use of their parking lot and facilities for the event. The annual Walk for Life is amazing. It is a way for brothers and sisters in Christ from many churches in the Pocono area to come together for an hour or so each year. It is a great way for us all to get to know one another, pray and engage in an activity that affirms life. This event will continue to be a non-competitive two mile walk around the streets of Stroudsburg. Registration will be at 8:30 am, and walking will begin at 9:00 am. There will be refreshments, balloons, prizes, and free T-shirts, so bring the entire family, including the dog! Take a stand and help us continue raising support for our center. Information packets have been recently distributed to participating churches, so make sure you speak with your liaison for a sponsor form.
