Float is a digital reading service and suite of applications designed to make it simpler and more fun to read news, blogs and documents from one app. Float users can find and organize sources and content in one place while connecting with friends and readers to discover reading recommendations on Twitter, Facebook and Scribd. The app is available for free on float.com and as a download from Apple’s App Store. Other devices and platform support are in development. Float is designed to work well for casual browsing as well as a deep diving into readers’ interests. Using new technology, text that is formatted for the web can now be easily read on any mobile device in a “floating text” reading experience, enabling people to zoom in on text and scroll left to right like the pages of a book or magazine.
