The Company proudly undertakes initiatives directed towards socio-economic development of the underprivileged artisans linked with it. Keeping this in mind, Jaipur Rugs Foundation (JRF), established in 2004, has been a major step towards corporate social responsibility of Jaipur Rugs. JRF as a not-for-profit organisation works hard towards eradicating the menace of middlemen exploitation of artisans in the carpet supply chain. It also works on a groundbreaking model of poverty removal that is based on the concept of empowering the grassroots and enhancing their living standard as entrepreneurs. Free from exploitation, such poor artisans are provided a chance to earn fast and develop faster through carpet weaving. This once-in-a-lifetime encouragement through JRF lets them live a dignified living.

The founder of Jaipur Rugs Company Pvt. Ltd. (Jaipur Rugs) and JRF, Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary is held as an example of an industrious saint in disguise. He is a humble one with a dedicated heart towards working for the betterment of the poor and contributes personally with his time and devotion through JRF. The Foundation works unperturbed with the rural artisans in order to provide regular weaving training, and awareness about various medical and insurance schemes. They are also offered necessary education for their help. With his indiscriminating affection towards everybody, he believes in the concept of equality and unity. Jaipur Rugs unique business model is potentially helping artisans to become business owners in the future. He started it as a dream but now it has begun to transform several other lives into happier ones. Mr. Chaudhary forsees his employees as budding leaders in the future generation who will promote an era of achievements in the carpet industry. A commerce graduate with an urge to make a difference in lives, Mr. Chaudhary set up a small-scale business in 1978 with just two looms and a few artisans. Through hard work, determination and sacrifices, he leveraged on the network formed by the local artisans and weavers. A humble and gentle person, his passion for carpet weaving, the numerous years spent in villages and his connection with the artisans is the driving force behind the establishment of Jaipur Rugs. Today, the Company stands as one of the most prestigious rug manufacturers and suppliers displaying an international portfolio with a consistent growth globally.
