INTRODUCTION:Personal management is that branch of management which deals with people in an enterprise. It is concerned with managers supervisors and workers and with the relationship within the enterprises. Its activities refer to the development of policies and their implementation pertaining to manpower planning, employment and non- employment, training and development, salaries, wages, allowances and compensations, working conditions, communications, grievance handling, employees welfare and industrial relations. However the scope of personnel management is not limited to employee servicing only. It is a much more dynamic function. It seeks effective utilization of the human resources in terms of cost and productivity, designs organizational relationships to institutionalize harmony in the enterprise and promotes employees morale as well as personal satisfaction. A major objective of personal management is to increase the effectiveness of every work unit in the organization and to enable employees to drive a greater sense of personal satisfaction from their work and work environment. In executing the projects the project manager have to handle various types of workers. Workers satisfaction at the job determines his productivity. It emphasis is on the fact that emotion controls worker moral and efficiency more than the money and amenities and therefore the prime important job of project manager is to achieve desired ends by means of collective efforts of group of human beings there are many other fact of management but this fundamental requirement to organize human being is its distinguishing feature.

They can work to earn recognition. increased responsibility and their own advancement. For example. They can demonstrate their readiness for responsibility or advancement. they find a job satisfaction and work hard at their jobs. They only build a base for motivation factors in the same way that having enough food frees people to satisfy their higher level needs but does not assure that they will. they care less and put less energy into doing their jobs well. If they have opportunities to get these things. The hygiene factor has very little to do with personal growth. Hygiene factors: People feel unhappy or dissatisfied with their jobs because of physical characteristics of the environments in which they work. but in themselves they do not motivate. When people have their personal ambition met through the work they do. recognition. If people believe their behaviour affects their work situation and that of others. However bright light or good food do not inspire employees to work. Eliminating job dissatisfaction dose not motivate people. Salary influences individual to take jobs. they feel that what they do is important. Outstanding performances results from the presence of (positive) motivation factors. If not they not work any harder than necessary to keep their jobs. When people see that what they do makes a difference.
It has to be integrated with the various operation of the company. 9. Safety programme: With the introduction of an effective safety programme.
