Briefing Briefing by teacher about the:  Content of the assessment  Requirements of the assessment  Preserving pf the plants and insects specimens  Soil analysis technique  Quadrate and line transect sampling technique.  Ecology folio. Referring to seniors’ assessment Teacher lends us some of seniors’ assessment as a guideline. We get some ideas from the references. Group discussion Discuss about the tasks and distributes the tasks between six of us. We also select the date for meeting. Collection of 25 species of All members try to search the plants in plants. anywhere in order to collect enough 25 species of plants. Then we preserve the plants for a long period. Get the details of the plants We try several ways to find out the details of the plants. These include refer to seniors’ assessment, surfing Internet and refer to reference books. Collect 25 species of insects All the members cooperate to catch the insects at the bushes of the school district and at our compound. Preserving of the insects We use the formalin and chloroform to specimens preserve the insects at the school laboratory. Carry out a series of experiment We have carry out soil analysis experiment, regarding the soil quadrate and transect sampling experiments, Tullgren Funnel and Baermann Funnel experiments. Pass up our assessment to The assessment is passed up to our dearest teacher teacher, Pn. Siti Nazura.

After finished this biology assessment, I realize that this is a quite good and necessary assessment for us—Form 6 students. This is because during doing this assessment, we may know more details about the nature such as plants, insects, and soil. Furthermore, when we do this practical, we will more understand about the biology lessons that we have learnt in classroom. Besides that, I would like to thanks all the group members of Dura Brite—Chin Tat, Chia Meng, Tze Tze, and Yen Shen. All of them are my best friends so we have cooperated well in doing this assessment. Hence, I would like to thanks teacher to let us choose our group members and I can’t imagine what will happen if my group members are live in different states. It makes us easier to have a meeting to complete our assessments. All of my group members are responsible, hardworking and considerable so we have no any arguments during this tough period. Instead, we are determined to solve the problems and obstacles we have faced together. Indirectly, this assessment also tightens the relationship between us. In addition, I would like to give some comments regarding the assessment. First of all, the plants assessment is considered a quite easy task because we just have to collect 25 species of plants and dry them. We can find many of these species within school districts. We always find the plants species during free periods. The next assessment is insect assessments. In this task, our seniors are willing to lend a helping hand. Thanks so much to them. During the preservation, the chloroform is very smelly and making us not feeling well. We have spent two days to make and decorate the insect’s box at school. The last assessment is ecology study. We have done a series of experiments about the soil. These can improve our skill in handling experiment. After that we have to do an ecology folio. This has eaten us a lot of time. We have to refer many reference books and surfing Internet to collect the information. However, with the cooperation of all the members, we can complete it on time. After we have completed these assessments, all of u s are happy and relief. Last but no least, I would like to thanks our Biology teacher, Pn. Siti Nazura, who has lend us senior’s assessments for reference, given us guidance and encouragement I also want to apologize from teacher and my group members if I have done any mistake as a leader during doing this assessment. I hope that u can tell me but don’t feel unsatisfied with me. Our assessments can be completed successfully because all of you. Thank you for beliving me as your group leader.
