AdvancedAnalysisofBuildingEnergy PerformanceusingComputational IntelligenceApproaches

Buildingperformanceisoftenmeasuredthroughthemeteredenergyuseofthewholebuilding,and/or throughthemoredetailedmonitoringoftheindividuallycontrolledprocessesbythebuilding managementsystems(BMS).Automaticmeterreading(AMR)systemswhichcanprovideaccurate consumptiondata,typicallyathalfhourintervals,haveexistedforseveraldecades.Manyinitiativesare inplacetoinstallsuchmetersinlargenumbersofindustrialanddomesticsites.Thishasresultedinan increaseintheiruptakeandtheirassociatedservicesandtheemergenceofthesmartmetering paradigm.
