1. Describe the various characters ?

Nicole is an employee in MMI who concerned more about the layoffs and was conspiring a plan to make her safe against being sacked out of the job by putting the blame on Max Dyers strange and lonely personality. Derek is also an employee (software programmer) who really did not care about what Nicole had been saying or how she had perceiving about Max. He is one among the group who did not want to unnecessarily blame Max with respect to his personality. Paige is the replacement of Max for the previous job of creating software for the engineers and workers and coordinating with them. Sam is another programmer who was supporting the views of Nicole and had expressed her concerns to Lynne for being threatened by the behavior of Max. George is an engineer who had also been supporting the concerns of Nicole for their safety environment with respect to Maxs strange behavior. Lynne Tablor is an employee working there for more than 15 years having started her career as an intern then became full time programmer and now into the management side of the company. Gene Kozlowski is the vice president of HR department in the firm. He is the one with whom Lynne had a consultation of the concerns for their every employees safety and about Max.

2. Explain the various context due to which Max is what he is now? He is lonely person never talks with the colleagues. He didnt have a friendly relationship with his colleagues. He would be lurking at the kitchen for eating the leftovers in the meeting. He is an introvert by nature and that had lead to others having a notion of disliking him altogether. He is not socially getting along the other employees which are a great concern for Lynne. He didnt care about his external appearance of being dirty like never wearing a cleaned spectacle, coffee stained over his pant, no clean shaving. Last weeks incident of a Gunman killing the colleagues and himself at a Seatle company had made Nicole to escalate the behavior of Max to a similar situation that could possibly happen in the future in their own firm.

3. What has been the managements role in creating this unpleasant situation and suggest remedial measures to be taken up by management? The following things had not been done by the firm which had led to this unpleasant situation. The management should have conducted the behavioral classes or coaching to the employees of the firm and should have followed a stringent rules and regulations for the conduct of each and every employee in the organization. They should have insisted Max from the very beginning about the change that was required in his behavior and coordination with others inside the firm. Remedial Measures: The management should conduct some kind of felicitation program to ease the pressure mounting on the work life of the employees due to some uncertain feelings existing between colleagues and Max. The management should advise Max to take necessary steps to alter his behavior, so that people would not be worried about him and will start working on Saturdays even being alone with him. The management should also convene a meeting with the employees to tell them not to be unnecessarily afraid of Max and advise them to get along with everyone in the firm.

4. Should Max be thrown out of the company? If Yes/No , Why? No, he should not be thrown out of the firm as he is not creating problems for his colleagues wantedly by doing something against them. Everybody have their own set of behavior and it is his behavior which made others to think badly about him. But this cannot be taken as the grounds for sacking this fellow out of the organization. But Max should be given some personality training of how to cope up with the colleagues and advise him to change his weird character into a likable one. Also it is clear that it could be the possible chances of conspiracy created by Nicole to safeguard her and her colleagues from being sacked out of the firm. Hence considering this fact one cannot sack Max as a scapegoat from the
