Should you be elected, what are the three specific areas you’d like to change, address, improve or further research and how specifically would you go about it? 1. I would like to change or offer an additional way for communication to reach parents and/or the community. One of the changes I would like to be able to offer parents is an online grade book. Parents can see exactly what their child is doing and if they are missing assignments. This would allow the parents to be a part of the team that is educating their child. 2. Improve the perception of Euclid City Schools. I would do this by encouraging teachers and administrator to highlight the positives. Show the small accomplishments that happen in the classroom which will eventually lead to great improvements in academics. I would bring the community into the schools not only for “Special Events” but to let them see that our schools are clean and that the students have access to technology. 3. Improve Euclid City Schools grade on the State Report Card. I feel we need to listen to what teachers and administrators are requesting from the Board of Education so that they have the appropriate tools that will make it possible for them to teach the students which in turn would be a positive improvement to the State Report Card. Also as a board member I would like to see that each school district is “graded” the exact same way. We cannot compare apples to apples as the current grading system is set. If necessary I would be willing to participate in the process of changing the method of evaluating school districts. Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you? Anyone that knows me or has worked on projects with me knows that when I start a project I go at it 100%. I plan on being very involved in the Euclid City Schools as a board member. I am not afraid to do the hard work needed in order for Euclid Schools to be a better school system. I want to see Euclid make great strides and improvements not only in our schools but in the community.
