Medical Terminology to Be Mastered By BIM Design 1. General Project Description a.

At inception the hospital is currently conceived as a specialized care fee-for-service tertiary level facility with accommodation for integrated outpatient clinics that will be situated within a master planned mixed-use medical development.

b. The master planned mixed-use medical development is part of new urban center master planned by the government. The hospital will be the Phase I anchor of the mixed-use medical development. Future phases of campus development will be developed in tandem with a rational metamorphosis of the hospital. Future thinking should include, but certainly not be limited to, relocation of outpatient clinics into surrounding medical office buildings and the possibility of creating an on-campus managed care continuum. c. Health Insurance penetration in Vietnam is growing but currently limited to perhaps 2.7% of population – the acceptance of insured patients domestically and internationally and what corresponding impact that might have needs to be considered, however.

d. The design of the facilities shall embrace lean operations & logistics and a digital hospital framework. e. The design of the hospital shall foster and support a holistic delivery method: i. Patient-focused; high-touch; emphasizing the positive impact of the wellness milieu on clinical outcomes ii. Integrating medicine, technology & nursing iii. Nurturing healthy life-styles and complementary therapeutic practices including personal hygiene, nutrition, recuperative and relaxation therapies, recreational and spiritual healing f.
