Henry McKay.

(1856-1936)
Henry was born at Fort Ellice, the son of chief Factor William McKay and Mary Cook. He was educated atSt. John’s College. Henry married Ellen Arabella Inkster the daughter of William Inkster and Mary Todd on august 29, 1881 at Fort Ellice. She was also the neice of sheriff Collin Inkster. They had 11 children. Henry was employed by the HBC as an apprentice postmaster and clerk until 1898. while at the Pas he was also Federal Postmaster. After leaving HBC he moved to Grand Rapids where he as postmaster, Justice of the Peace and a storekeeper. He died at Grand Rapids on February 22, 1936, age 79.
