Invocation of the Imam of the Age (atfs)

Bismillahi r-rahmani r-rahim
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful

Allahummarzuqna tawfiqat-taah wa budal-masiyah
O Lord! Give us firmness in obedience, aloofness from sins,

Wa sidqun-niyyah wa irfan al-hurmah
sincere intention, and the knowledge of all that is held with respect to You.

Wa akrimna bil-huda wal-istiqamah wa saddid as-sinatana bis-sawab wal-hikmah
(O Lord!) Bestow on us steadfastness, guidance and wisdom,
and let our tongues speak the truth.

Wamla qulubana bil-ilm wal-marifah
Fill our hearts with knowledge and learning.

Wa tahhir butunana min al-haram
Keep us from filling our stomach with unlawful food.

Wash-shubhati wakfif aydiyana aniz-zulm was-sariqah
Keep our hands from oppressing and stealing.

Waghdud basarana anil-fujur wal-khiyanah
Blind our eyes from witnessing immorality and debauchery.

Wasdud asmaana anil-llaghwi wal-ghibah

Block our ears from hearing absurd and undesirable talk

as well as backbiting and malicious remarks.

Wa faddal ala ulamaina bizzuhdi wan-nasihah
Let our scholars be endowed with piety and the ability of giving good counsel.

Wa alal-mutaallimina bil-juhdi war-raghbah
Enable our students to devote themselves to their studies in right earnest.

Wa alal-mustamiina bil-ittibai wal-mawizah
Let our listeners pay heed to what they hear and follow them sincerely.

Wa ala mardal-muslimina bish-shifai war-rahah
Bestow health and comfort upon the sick Muslims,

Wa ala mawtahum bir-rafati war-rahmah
peace and mercy upon the dead Muslims,

Wa ala mashayikhina bil-waqari was-sakinah
honor and dignity upon our good ones.

Wa alash-shababi bil-inabati wat-tawbah
Let our youth repent for their lapses.

Wa alan-nisai bil-hayai wal-iffah
Make our women modest and chaste.

Wa alal-aghniyai bit-tawadui was-saah
Bestow upon the rich the quality of humility and generosity;

Wa alal-fuqarai bis-sabri wal-qinaah
upon the poor, patience and contentment;




Wa alal-ghuzati bin-nasri wal-ghalabah
upon our warriors, victory and triumph;

Wa alal-usarai bil-khalasi war-rahah
upon the prisoners, freedom from the enemys captivity;

Wa alal-umarai bil-adli wash-shafaqah
upon the rulers, justice and compassion;

Wa alar-raibah bil-insaf wa husnis-sirah
and upon the ruled, fairness and good conduct.
