Guidelines The TEST CASE sheets is used to enter the test case and record the test results.

In ROW#2, include the Project Name, Platform (OS) of testing, Brief Intro on Testing, the location of the AUT, the Date of Testing and the N used in the template. In this sheets, the test lead can write the test cases, schedule and allocate the execution of test cases to the testers. The RED colored fields have to be filled in by the Test Lead / Sr. Tester who is preparing the test cases. The GREEN fields have to be filled in by the Testers at the time of execution of the test cases.

The Test Result Pas/Fail/Not Tested has to recorded in Column I. The Defect Status Open/Fixed/Clsoed has to be recorded in Column K. The Defect Severity Critical/Major/Minor has to recorded in Column O. The testers can give their comments in Column P. The date of actual execution of every test case has to be entered in Column H.

After executing the test cases and logging the result, the defect status and the defect severity, enter the End Date of testing in the field and cycle etc, enter the No. only). Clicking on the "Generate Summary" will ask for the Testing Cycle. Entering the Cycle NO. (1 to 12) will gener respective testing cycle.

If you want to clear the data entered for any cycle, click on the "Clear Data" button. This will ask for the Testing Cycle No. Entering the No. in respective testing cycle. If you want to clear all the data to make use of it freshly, click on the "Clear All Data". This will clear all the data entered in this template. The BLUE fields have to be filled in Column K, L, M & N by the Developers at the time of fixing the defects reported by the testing team.

This can be done either by the development team lead o The Time to fix the defect (in Man Hours) has to be entered in Column N after fixing the defect. The sheet ALL CHART will display the following in Chart format. Test Result Summary Total Defect found in the application Open Defects existing in the application

Defects Trend for various testing cycles (Have to change the date in the X Test Coverage and Defect Log Status

When you click on the SUMMARY sheet, it will ask for the Cycle No. Enter the Cycle No. (1 to 12). That will generate the data for the respective testing cycle. The SUMMARY sheet will display the following summaries: Test Summary Provides details on This will display the Summary of Total Test Cases Total Passed Test Cases Total Closed Defects
