This program provides the skills and knowledge required to position, assemble and start up single-head split air conditioning units and systems to prescribed routine. All persons currently employed in this industry and installing split system air conditioning units are required to have a qualification that meets current legislation.
Training for this program is available in the evening.

Career opportunities
Learners can apply for the licence required to install and decommission single head, split system air conditioners up to 18 kilowatts. If competency is achieved, the student will gain a Certificate II in Split Systems.

Entry requirements
It is recommended that clients are currently employed in an associated industry and are able to assemble and start up head split systems air conditioning units and systems. Clients must hold an electrical licence (restricted or full), or if currently employed as an electrical apprentice, have completed stage 3b of their apprenticeship training, evidence of the licence or apprenticeship training must be produced at the first night of class.
