as the other SUVs have made, obviously with the massive disappointment that accompanied the previous offering. Referred to as the Escudo all around this CBU has been launched here as the Grand Vitara. Cannot say much about the grandeur but does look poised to please and gain back some lost pride! At first glance the stance and profile looks complete. The headlight cluster and the grille conform to norms of aggression. The rear has a large but well-design ed set of tail lamps, a very pronounced pillar, and the spare tyre. Proper but l acks ingenuity and creativity. Another addition is the steroid-pumped wheel arch es. Everything adds to its sporty profile but seems like a safe offering. The wh ole idea does not harmonize completely into a hardcore, rugged SUV though. The engine option on offer is the 1995cc that chugs out 120bhp at 5500rpm. This may not be the smoothest as it needs a good chunk of revs to actually open up an d then you take notice. The handling is predictable and not as sporty as the loo k or something you can play around with. There is enough of body roll that takes a little of the fun factor away as you are a little apprehensive to push it to the limit. The interiors are plush and comfortable. The fuel economy is average and the package overall is pricey. If it was priced competitively it can be a competitor.

Exterior One of the best looking SUV on road. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very comfortable with decent interiors, Eng ine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox- Very good, its a treat to drive in ci ty as well as on highways, fuel efficiency is not bad gives 9 on default 4 WD w hich is almost equal to civic/carolla so no complaints, gear box is little hard though. Ride Quality & Handling Excellent performance, specially the road grip and contr ol makes it a very sturdy drive on default 4 W D. Final Words I am a very happy Vitara buyer, every ride in this is a pleasure , i ts very sturdy, powerful, good torque, 4WD with preety decent exterior and inter ior.a real value for money. Areas of improvement Back parking sensors, 6 CD changer. Have driven 10,000 + KM almost all the highways around Delhi,gurgaon, this machine is really mean and f un to drive, very sturdy, solid grip on road, at 100-120 the kind a power but wi th complete control you will feel in this vechicle is something I haven't exper ienced in any Indian car, doing 150 or more is not a problem for this and with d efault 4WD this car is in absolute control at high speeds. even for race enthusi astic this small beast (its much compect and nicely packed than endeavor or fort uner for that matter) will not disappoint anyone, very good torque at 3rd and 4t h gear makes overtaking really easy (most cars have this lack of extra push spec ially while overtaking). breaking is also very good, its real treat on hills wit

h 4WD in full action. A true vaule for your money, and a thrill to hold in your hand.
