We are not and never have been clients of Campaign Solutions. They proposed working with us to develop online fundraising for our non-profit, but we decided not to engage in a business relationship with them. I hope that answers your questions. I'd appreciate you taking a few minutes to review the following brief information and to provide me with answers to two quick questions. My pending item is a follow-up to an article I posted yesterday. You may wish to read the entire piece, but here's the crux of the matter:
Top political consulting firm advocates humane treatment for animals while driving major campaigns against human rights for gay Americans: http://bit.ly/njMmXk Campaign Solutions, arguably the country's leading conservative political consulting firm, counts among its clients brand name anti-gay politicos (Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum, the Traditional Values Coalition) and spearheads big-money ballot initiatives to deny equal rights to gay Americans (California's Yes on Prop 8, Maine's Yes on 1):
Perhaps surprisingly, the Alexandria, VA-based company also carries the ball for high-profile animal rights groups like the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), a DC organization that touts its relationships with prominent members of the gay community including Rep. Jared Polis (D-CO) and Ellen DeGeneres. PCRM is one of three pro-animal organizations that Campaign Solutions names as clients. The others are Animal Protection of New Mexico, based in Albuquerque, and the American AntiVivisection Society of Jenkintown, PA.
Here are my questions: 1) Approximately when did your organization become a client of Campaign Solutions? 2) Do you wish to comment regarding the issues discussed in my item of yesterday? If so, please provide as much information as you wish and I'll publish it unedited. Thanks for your consideration and I'd appreciate receiving your replies by end of the day Friday, October 21. If you require more time, please advise and I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule. For convenience, I'm courtesy-copying five activists and writers who, based on information I located on the Internet, are interested in both animal rights and gay civil rights. After I receive your responses, I intend to solicit reaction comments from them, so this e-mail provides me with an opportunity to introduce the material to them beforehand. Sincerely, Peter M.
