Parents of small children (under age 3) may take them to our Nursery, where a caring staff will supervise them. We also have a Pre-School Program (ages 3-5) that runs during our Worship Service in the Church Time PreSchool Room. One of our ushers would be happy to help you locate either one of these facilities. Our Prayer Initiative We are invited to join together in prayer for one another. As we move through our fellowship alphabetically, look for your name to appear. If it doesn't, please let Peter know, for we wish to be in prayer for YOU. This week, please be in prayer for: Bernie & Wendy Levy, Ian & Joan Levy, Josh & Erin Levy, Ray, Judy & Zachary Levy, Liz Logan and Lois Long. Bereavement As a caring community of faith and love we extend our sincere Christian sympathy to the family and friends of Joan Lugar who passed away on October 9th, 2011. Coffee With The Lord Take home Coffee with the Lord cups are available in the foyer for everyone wishing to participate. As a token of financial stewardship making a contribution to your Coffee with the Lord fund will be a way of reminding yourself of the time spent with the Lord and our good fortune to have and belong to Bedford Baptist Church. Reading Program Celebration Our Summer Reading Program is over but you can still pass in your reading list and collect your prizes. Refreshments will be served in the Library after the service again today. Working Group The Missions Committee is looking to set up a working group that will help support the projects in which it is involved. You may be asked to help set up tables at a function, be on a planning committee for a mission tour, or help in a soup kitchen. If you see yourself helping the Committee in any way, please call the church office or Bob Archibald (865-7077).

News & Events (Contd.)

Jesus Has Asked Us To Make Disciples. 4 members of our congregation have been called to 3 different and diverse short term missions in October and November. Stephen Rand will be going to Haiti to continue the work of re-establishing power lines after the earthquake. Marlene Knowles is going to Bolivia through CBM to be involved in construction. Ida and Kathy Cochrane are going to India to help in training women. If you wish to contribute to their missions we ask you to talk to each individual for further information. Please be in prayer for these people as each one follows Gods leading. Missions Committee What Are Your Gifts? God has given each one of us gifts and he wants us to use them to serve Him. The Nominating Committee would like to know what your gifts are and where you would be most comfortable serving the Lord. The possibilities are many and so are the gifts that you as a congregation have. Please be in prayer for God's leading as we will be calling you within the next few weeks to see where you would like to serve. Christmas Beacon House Project Beacon House is currently engaged in its annual project of supplying Christmas boxes for those in need. Our church is invited to supply a 796 ml can of fruit for each of 450 boxes. So between now and Dec 1st, please consider an additional gift of canned fruit to our Beacon House Box.
