Our research is mainly focus on functional role homoarginine in generating Nitric oxide during cardiovascular disease condition. We are also elucidating the role of Low toxic variety Lathyrus Sativus seeds containing homoarginine which found as better substrate for Nitric Oxide generation. We planned to analysis the cardiac function and identifying genetic, biochemical, cellular pathways related Nitric Oxide metabolism in relation with cardiac dysfunction and endothelial dysfunction.

My research focus is to find the functional role of novel genes in heart. We are also elucidating the role of human gene mutation in cardiac function and identifying genetic, biochemical, cellular and biophysical pathways that lead from mutation to disease by using a transgenic mouse model. My laboratory has a longstanding interest to study innate immunity of heart and to find therapeutic strategies to reduce cardiac injury. Overall goal is to bridge the gap between observations in the basic research laboratory and the clinical bedside. My studies will be an integral part in translating new discoveries into therapeutic initiatives.

Our research mainly focus on
