SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Designed, developed, maintained, enhanced, and currently manage the Sandals and Beaches airlines reservations system that interacts with General Distribution Systems (GDSs) such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Galielo. The system increased the productivity of the company by 600% and brings over 60 million dollars annually to the company. Lead a team of four engineers to design, and develop the first API at Unique Vacations implemented in ColdFusion, XML, and Oracle technologies which follows the OTA specifications (Open Travel Alliance Specifications) and allows instant transmission of availability, rates, inventory, and reservations to tour operators such as Expedia, HBSI (Hotel Booking Solutions), and ORBITZ. The system increases the efficiency of these operations and eliminates the manual work and file download for Sandals and Beaches resorts promotions and reservations. Worked with a team of three engineers to design, develop and currently manage the Sandals and Beaches resorts Online Booking Engine (OBE). The system is used by the direct consumers and travel agents and brings to the company over $50 million dollars annually. Designed, developed, maintained and enhanced the first API implemented in ColdFusion, Java, and Oracle technologies at Unique Vacations that allow Travel Agencies Suppliers such as Trisept Solutions to get live availability for Sandals & Beaches Resorts and airlines. The system increases the efficiency of these operations and brings over 5 million dollars to the company annually. Worked with a team of two engineers to develop Myrrh Application, which can be used as a Website, Intranet, Extranet, or Support Net. The application supported content management, multi language, and user/group rights through the use of administration wizards. The application was used by many banks to support their websites and intranets and brought the company over 1 million dollars annually. Worked with a team of two to develop the first Sandals and Beaches Complaints Tracking System (CTS) that was used by all resorts around the world. This system eliminated the use of paper and cross-world couriers due to the digitizing of documents in Oracle. Thus saving time, money and it has more than doubled the departments productivity and customer service. Designed and developed WebOffice Application which allowed clients to follow the production life cycle of their websites and intranets online. Thus saving the company from the manual paper work and eased the communications between London Bridge Group and its clients.

Designed, developed, maintained, enhanced and currently manage the Sandals Airlines Reservations System that interacts with General Distribution Systems (GDSs) such as Sabre, Amadeus, and Galileo to get airlines availability, make reservations, retrieve reservations, auto PNR ticketing, and retrieve schedule changes. The system was built using ColdFusion Web Services, XML, Java, and Oracle PL/SQL. Lead a team of 4 engineers to design develop, and maintain the first API to transfer instant availability, rates, inventory and reservations from Sandals & Beaches central reservation system to Tour operators. The system handles 50% of the companys business which is equal to over $200 million dollars annually. Worked with a team of three engineers to design, and develop the Sandals and Beaches Online Booking Engine (OBE). Im currently responsible for maintaining, and enhancing the OBE. The system was built on the MVC (Model View Controller) framework using ColdFusion, Java, AJAX, XML, and Oracle Technologies. Developed an API implemented in ColdFusion, Java, XML, and Oracle that allowed Tour Operators such as VAX Vacations, Saber Vacations and World Span Vacations to utilize the Sandals and Beaches reservations system to get live availability for resort and airlines, create reservations, retrieve reservation and cancel reservations. Created Online Payments and expired options system that reminds customers of their due payments and allow them to make payments for their reservations. Created web based online promotions system that supports different kinds of promotions that Sandals and Beaches has such as free luggage, resort credit, and free spas. The system allowed customers to register for the promotion and automatically qualify the registration according to certain criteria setup by the system administrators. Worked with a team of two to develop Complaints Tracking System (CTS) application which allowed Sandals and Beaches Customer services to enter complaints received from resorts guests by email, or fax into the systems oracle database. The system also allowed system administrators to assign the complaints to certain operators to handle the complaint using the system administration area.
