Chalk Talk at CHS: Chalk Talk is a group activity where a question is posed and space is provided for participants to write answers. Students are welcome and encouraged to participate. Here are the guidelines: write legibly, use appropriate words, use Standard English (not texting language), and feel free to respond to others. FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORES: Please be reminded that you are obligated to be in Study Hall if you have more than 10 minutes between your classes. This means that if you have a break between classes that is 15 minutes or more (20, 30, etc.), you are obligated to go to the Nest for Study Hall. This is not an option for you but, rather, a requirement of attending CHS. Please see Ms. Benfield with any questions or concerns about this policy. JUNIORS AND SENIORS: Please be reminded that you are welcome to join Study Hall at any time for a quiet, supported place to study and complete assignments. The outcomes for study hall are that students will get assignments done while at school, that students will have two adults available to ask for help with their homework, and that students have a quiet place to work on assignments. Remember that others are working on their assignments so Study Hall is not the time/place for socializing. If there is room to spread out during Study Hall, please sit one student per table. Study Hall 5 for 5: students (all freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors in the Nest during Study Hall) must be 5 for 5 out of the following list prior to reading for fun, getting on internet for fun, sleeping, etc.
