REPORT WRITING GUIDELINES The report constitutes to 15% of the overall assessment.

The objectives of the report are to ensure that the students understand the project and have good project management for the project. Content Students are required to submit the report with the following sections:

Report Submission Requirements Softcopy of the report in the form of CD from each group should be submitted to the pigeon hole of the supervisor. Student should not hand in the report to the supervisor or the coordinator. Late submission will not be accepted.

ABSTRACT Abstract should include a summary of the project briefly. Not more than 200 words INTRODUCTION

Contains objectives using the SMART approach ( Objectives from the design proposal could be applied here ) * Refer to Design Proposal Writing Guidelines for examples of SMART approach Include a small part of reference from available literature reviews Problem statement should be clear and direct to the point MATERIALS & METHODS State all the materials clearly and justify each selection Methods employed to come up with the particular design (example: anthropometry dimensions used or surveys conducted, etc ) FIGURES & TABLES Insert all tables and figures clearly. Rough sketches are NOT allowed. At least a software should be employed to produce the final design (example: AUTOCAD, POWERSHAPE, SOLIDWORKS, etc) If anthropometry dimensions are employed, insert figures of anthropometry dimensions and tables

DISCUSSION Discuss the challenges faced while executing the project. Explain how ergonomics knowledge and principles were applied in the design A reasonable amount of risk and safety assessment analysis should be included as well. ( for applicable projects)

Deadline of report submission: 14th November 2011 to the pigeon hole. Submit two copies of CDs: 1. Module coordinator 2. Project Supervisor 3. If the project supervisor is the module coordinator then you only need to submit one copy!!!
