Requirements of the Training Report Students are required to submit Training Reports for the training modules attend ed. This is a training for report writing in which you should decide on what to write under the prescribed conditions. You should write the report in a professi onal manner in your own style. The following only attempts to give you some hint s in case you need some references. An individual Training Report is required for each training module, unless other wise specified. For the workshop-type training modules which may comprise severa l workshops, a separate Training Report must be submitted for each individual wo rkshop or as specified by the module instructor. Your Training Report should be a concise but thorough technical record of the wo rk you have done and the observations you have made during the training. It shou ld clearly show that you have got a basic understanding of the subject, and how you benefit from the training. You should not simply extract words from the hand out or copy from other sources. You must use your own words with clear handwriti ng in a neat and tidy manner. The content should be concise and you should use n o more than the space available in the blank form (four A4 sized pages). Use one set of blank forms for each Training Report. These blank forms can be downloade d from ITC webpage. The Training Report should be submitted within one week after you have completed the training module. The marked Training Reports (and Workbooks and Quiz, if an y) will be returned to you via your Department and you should include them in yo ur Training Logbook later. B. Introduction Section of the Report B3. "Introduction" for Reports on Integrated Training Module It should clearly state the objective of the project/tasks, give a general overv iew of the design and manufacturing processes in the project. C3. "Technical Content" for Reports on Integrated Training Module You should concisely describe the outline of the workflow, and collaboration amo ng members of the working group throughout the project, list the processes invol ved in the project. It should concisely describe the technical aspects, such as workshop procedures, tools and equipment used, and factors affecting the choice of tools and methods. It should include some relevant sketches and diagrams for illustration. The descriptions should not be too simple or too general, it shoul d give some specific and detailed technical information of the process, the oper ation, and the working principles. You should describe the actual work done, how you carry out the work, and highlight ways of solving technical problems. You m ust also give an outline of the safety measures taken during the training and me ntion the safety procedures necessary when using certain tools or carrying out c ertain processes. D3. "Comments/Conclusions" for Reports on Integrated Training Module Discuss the technology used and comment on the applications and limitations of t he technologies and methodologies; give constructive comments on the format, con tent, effectiveness and duration of the training received. Make suggestions for improvements or further investigation.
