Immigration was important to our past and is just as vital to our future. We are embracing this concept as a way to speed up our reinvention." Governor Snyder shared this message with leaders at a Midwest U.S.-Japan Summit in Tokyo recently, showcasing the changing attitude that Global Detroit is helping to create in Michigan. With the governor embracing the message that immigrants are not just important, but necessary for Michigan's revitalization, we know we're seeing progress. Global Detroit was in the news again, featured in a Dan Rather Reports on Michigan's new strategy, from its implications for international student retention to neighborhood revitalization to entrepreneurship.
