Club Stampin Up! @ Megans

Just wanted to revisit the terms and conditions of our Stampin Up! club (Club SUM!). As a member of Club SUM, you will get to host a workshop, where you can receive Stampin Up! hostess benefits. As a minimum, you will receive $50 in Hostess dollars to spend on specially-priced hostess products or any catalogue item. You can increase these benefits by collecting outside orders to submit to your workshop. The more orders you collect, the higher the level of your hostess dollars. You may even be eligible to earn a full-priced item at 50% off*. To allow each member to receive the Stampin Up! hostess benefits, all members agree to place a product order of at least $50 at each meeting. If you are unable to attend a particular meeting, your order will need to be emailed to me or given to another member to pass on to me before the final ordering is done. To make it easier on the hostesses, I have offered to host the workshops in my home at Strathfield. The workshops are currently held on a Tuesday night at 7pm, unless otherwise stated. At each meeting, I will demonstrate at least one technique or workshop project. I will provide all the materials for the class project. Any questions regarding the Stampin Up! club, please contact me on my email: megan128@hotmail.com *If your workshop sales total is $600 or above.

Twist & SHOUT

Dont you love the feeling you get when someone looks at something youve created and says Wow! Howd you make that? With these Twisty Treat containers, wow is right! Reminiscent of the Sunny Boy ice treats, youll be surprised how easy they are to make and youll love the reaction you get when you give one as a gift. With so many coloured card stock and Designer Series Paper to choose from, youll never have a problem finding the perfect option for any occasion from birthdays to babies. We made one as a project in our recent Club SUM and some of you wanted to know what the measurements were, so here they are. To make a Twisty Treat container: 1. 2. Cut a rectangular piece of Whisper White cardstock to the size you want. I used a piece which was 10.5cm x 19cm Cut a rectangular piece of coloured cardstock 8cm x 19cm to form a wrapper. I used the Scallop Trim Border punch on the longer edges to give a decorative look. Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 6 cm x 19cm. Centre and adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Scallop Edge punched coloured cardstock. Centre and adhere the coloured cardstock onto the piece of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere two pieces of Sticky Strip or Double sided tape to one 10.5cm edge and another to the longer edge. or bottom of your treat Roll the paper to form a tube and adhere the 10.5cm sides Remove the backing from the sticky strip or tape on the inside of one end of the tube and flatten the end down to close and adhere. Fill the Twisty Treat about two-thirds full with candy or chocolates, be sure to leave space at the top so you can close the Twisty Treat. I used a brad to close the Twisty Treat, but you could use a clip, or more sticky strip. Decorate with ribbon and a tag.

Handy Tip: You can use these clips to hold your Twisty Treat shut

Put a Little Cheer in your Stockings

If you missed out on hosting a workshop in October and earning the Stitched Stocking and matching Punch for free or purchasing them at a workshop, you can still get them as these products will be in the upcoming Summer 2011 Holiday Mini Catalogue which is due to be released in December. At Marias recent workshop, I demonstrated how you can use this stamp set to make your own Christmas cards. The Stamp set and co-ordinating punch work well together. Add some glitter and your cards will sparkle.

Product Spotlight - Fabulous Fabric

it used to be that in the crafting world, fabric meant sewing: clothing, quilts and home decor. Times have changed and fabric has now found a place in the papercrafting world. Stampin Up!s Designer Fabric works delightfully well with traditional papercrafting products. Each exclusive Designer Fabric has designs which co-ordinate with other Stampin Up! productsDesigner Series Paper, ribbon, stamps, and more. Made from 100 percent cotton, every assortment includes three pieces of fabric in co-ordinating designs, each one measuring 68.6 x 45.7 cm. Fabric can add touchable texture to cards, scrapbook pages and 3-D items. You can use it anywhere you would use another accent. Simply tear a strip of fabric, wrap it around a card front and loop several pieces to create a bow. You can also use the Big Shot to cut out fantastic shapes using the Designer Fabric. The Big Shot Adhesive Roll also makes it pretty simple to adhere fabric to paper. Easy to apply, it will adhere the fabric securely and smoothly in place. The Fabric Adhesive Roll includes instructions, but in a nutshell here is what to do: iron the adhesive on to the fabric, remove the backing sheet, iron the fabric to the card stock or other material and then cut using the Big Shot or scissors. You can also use the Multipurpose Sheets or Multipurpose Liquid Glue. If you like needle crafts, you can use the Designer Fabric in traditional sewingbased projects as well.

Create beautiful packaging to fit any Christmas gift with exclusive products from Stampin Up!
