EVERYONE’S TALKING ABOUT IT!
It’s the most eagerly anticipated event in the Kleeneze calendar since, erm – actually, we can’t actually remember the last time everyone was this excited. And it’s not just at Head Office that we’re all stirred up. Out there in the Network, it seems that you’re all talking about it. As we reported in last week’s EWB, the best thing about the Spring Destination 2009 (aside from the fact that the Destination is an exclusive, luxury Caribbean Cruise on the Club Med 2, of course), is that anyone can qualify. Yes, that means YOU! So channel that excitement by getting out there and qualifying for this once in a lifetime opportunity! “After qualifying for our first ever Conference to Marrakech last year, and spending time with some of the most positive people we've ever met, we'd already decided that wherever the next destination was we had to be there. Michael Khatkar had promised that it would be the ultimate destination and he did not exaggerate. When the big screens lit up with those amazing pictures at the New Year Conference in January, I was in awe, and the atmosphere in the arena was electric. When I got home from Birmingham I was so excited I couldn't stop talking about it, I put the DVD on for Phil and the children and they were just as excited. Catherine and Connor are only 10 and 8 but they have grown up with Kleeneze and know what it means to have Mum and Dad all the time unlike a lot of their friends. We know qualifying for the cruise is going to take a concentrated effort, so we have made a pact with the children. They understand they can't come with us on the cruise (which disappointed Connor as the pirate party really appeals to him!), but we have promised them their very own Kleeneze holiday anywhere in the world if they concentrate on their school work and achieve their own targets too. They have promised to keep us accountable for what we are doing and every day since have asked, 'are you on track today?' Our family motto is: Never give up! We and our whole team are just so excited about this coming year. A fantastic lady in our team, Sandra Ellis, also qualified for Marrakech and was asked to do a testimonial there. The pride we both felt seeing her on stage telling her story has to be one of the best feelings ever. We want to help every one of our team reach their goals this year and be proud of all of their achievements however big or small. So consistent activity and giving our team support is vital for us all to achieve our goals. It's an absolutely fantastic incentive that's inspired everyone to do what they need to do to be there. An Interview with: Michael Khatkar
Whether you’ve been in the business two minutes or two decades, it’s more than likely that you have heard the name Michael Khatkar. The Head of Network Development has been working with Kleeneze Distributors for over eight years and as a result is one of the most well-known faces (not to mention his vocal abilities!) of the business. So, as we embark on what is going to be our best year ever, EWB decided to catch up with the man himself to find out all the news. Can you tell us what your job entails? I am basically the link between the Kleeneze Head Office and the Network. I’m there to support teams wherever they need it and to really maintain a high profile, so both the voices of the Network are fed back to Head Office and that the corporate news is relayed to Distributors in much the same way. That is why you’ll find me speaking at a lot of the Network meetings. As a consequence, the feedback that I get from Distributors allows me to see how and where we can develop incentives. I’m then responsible for writing suitable critera for all incentives, as well as tracking who has qualified for the Conferences and the cars. When it comes to Conferences, both here and abroad, I chose and direct all the speakers, which is where my close link to the Network comes in handy! We’ve heard a rumour that 2008 is going to be gr8. Why? This is definitely a fantastic time to be in the business. We now have more incentives than ever and they are easier to achieve than ever. For example, to qualify for the Caribbean Cruise in 2009, all you need do is reach the Bronze Executive level and hold it for two more periods. And there’s the Corsa incentive on top of that. You’re one of the only ones who has been on the Club Med 2. What’s so gr8 about it? I’ve witnessed eight launches of the Spring Destinations and I can wholeheartedly say that I’ve never seen one that has stirred so much excitement and emotion in the Network. Everyone’s buzzing and everyone’s talking about it. I called it the ‘Ultimate Destination’ at a meeting once and the nickname has stuck, but I really believe it is. Just the whole exclusivity of it makes it one of the best we’ve ever done. You’ve been through the whole transitional period with Kleeneze. What has that been like? No one ever said that it was going to be easy and naturally there were going to be some issues with a move of such a massive scale – but on the whole it went extremely well and the support from the Network during that time was just incredible. However, now that the whole transitional process is over and the foundations have been laid, we can start focusing on the year ahead. What will you be doing more of in 2008? Communication and support. This is the time for growth and we all need to push forward and do whatever it takes to make this business the best that it can be. We will be creating incentives that are available for everybody and then helping them to achieve them. What should we (Distributors) be doing in 2008? Deciding on what your personal goals are and keeping on track to achieve them. It’s also important, though, to sharpen your ability to get people to understand why this business is so great. Encourage people to reach their goals and you will reach yours without trying. For new people, it’s important to look around the Network at the thousands of success stories that are produced every year. Success leaves clues – it’s a bit of a cliché, but it’s really true – you only need look around to see it.

The local satellite station serves the whole of the North West area and the pair appeared on its daily current affairs programme discussing how Kleeneze afforded them a brilliant second income, spreading the brand name to a whole new audience!

From money stress to trophy success!
Like many of our Distributors, Tracy and David Sheehan turned to Kleeneze looking for that opportunity to work from home and avoid the cost of child care. However, the Bronze Executive Distributors have quickly found out just how much more Kleeneze can offer, and this New Year walked away with the Distributor Challenge Trophy.
How did you find out about the Opportunity? I came across Kleeneze while looking for a way out of the ‘work to pay the childminder’ trap.I worked parttime as a public transport service inspector for the local council, but the unsociable hours, poor pay and random start/finish times made it very stressful to try and manage child care for our two young daughters. Dave worked from dawn to dusk as an electrical engineer, with little flexibility. He had an above average salary but it still only covered our commitments, while my salary only covered day-to-day living costs. It didn't take long to amount several thousand on the credit cards. It was then I spotted an advert to ‘earn an extra income, working from home' and we had to give it a go. I still had my regular job, but I found spare time I never knew I had. I made my start-up money back in less than a few weeks, and within a few months my income had reached around £700 per month. I then decided to quit my job. We instantly started saving money and didn't have to pay for any more child care, the Kleeneze business was so flexible I could do what I had to do around the kids. Did you have to make changes in your business in order to win the Trophy? Quite soon after quitting my 'real' job, my sisters and nieces and other ambitious members of my family were taking notice of the success I was having and soon joined up. We were all just so excited about what we were involved with. Dave soon noticed the change in me, our finances, our relationship - pretty much everything and he got involved completely in the business. We stepped up our advertising and retailed as much as possible. We think it’s very important to promote a 'do as we do' work ethic in our team - leading from the front is the key. The retail works for us and from this you can genuinely demonstrate to anyone the earnings potential from it. One of the things that swings a prospect we've found is showing a wedge of order forms for hundreds from our retail that week, it just proves what can be achieved. We also must give thanks and credit to our Upline whose support and training have provided such a fantastic environment to grow and develop in. And especially to Rob Forster who is our inspiration, and who we cannot thank enough for the dedication he has for this business. How has winning the Trophy changed things for you? We were absolutely made up winning the trophy. The first name inscribed on the trophy was in 1977 and 31 years later we are the latest names to be added - this is real lump in the throat, because we are now part of Kleeneze history. I just hope that in 30 years from now, at the 2038 Kleeneze Conference, the newest winners of the trophy looking at the names on the trophy realise who the two elderly folk sat in wheelchairs are! The emails and phones are red hot with requests to speak at meetings, which is a fantastic honour. We haven't really experienced the network ‘limelight’ so much and to be fair neither of us are public speakers, the thought terrifies both of us, but we are not going to let you all down. The attention is getting us noticed not just by the network, but our new team can't help but notice that they are with a very successful group as a whole. For the Star group in general this award is just a fantastic sponsoring tool, it sends out just the right message of success, professionalism and dedication. 2008 is going to be a very exciting year. What are your goals for 2008? We are on the Caribbean cruise and with all of our team (come on guys!). We want to hit Gold Executive on the pay plan and have a turnover up 200% on last year. Oh, and Dave will be sacking the boss! What tips would you give others who have their eye on ‘stealing’ the trophy away from you next year?! Sounds simple, but just go for it! Focus on the task in hand not just on awards and rewards, make Kleeneze and your team your focus, work hard, be dedicated, be consistent, follow your proven systems rather than waste time trying to re-invent them. Those that get stuck in get the results, the awards will follow as a matter of course and deservedly so. It would be our pleasure to hand over the trophy next year, whoever the winner is, they absolutely deserve it!
