Blinkys Random Thoughts

From the book of poems by Edward Frasier of Bennington, Vermont who suffered from a rare and painful lung disease. He was hospitalized because of the disease, but, rather than simply wither away, during the last few months of his life he wrote a book of poems. Ed was not a college graduate, and wrote his poetry from what he called a common mans perspective. Thoughts That Come At Night Though I am tired, and my body yearns to rest, And my heart beats so much slower, way deep down in my chest, Though Ive lain my head upon my pillow, for my body wants to rest, I close my eyes and wait for sleep to come-to sleep-- and then to rest. But sleep wont come, for thoughts still fall, like rain, -- upon the forest floor. And words I think of, -- I must capture, so they may live at least once more. Capture, lest they escape the confines of my head, Lest they be lost, and once be lost, are buried with the dead. For to think that I might lose them, does fill my heart with dread. So once again I must rise up, to write the words I must keep, for until it is Ive done this thing, there will be no chance to sleep. Some words are meant to silence night, Some words once spoken create delight, We string words together, and instead of sight, let sound suffice, as with our thoughts, we speak together through the night.

We look forward to making Drive for a Cure an annual event here at Carmody Ford, said John Carmody, President of Carmody Ford and Carmody East Auto Center.
