METEF - FOUNDEQ, RISES THE STAKES AND CHOOSES VERONA
After 8 successful editions, METEF-FOUNDEQ, the biennial show regarded as one of the world’s most reputable fairs for the aluminium and technological metals sectors, takes a giant step forward and is moving to the Veronafiere exhibition centre, one of the most prestigious fair grounds in Europe and a leader in the organisation of business-to-business exhibitions in Italy. The 2012 edition will be held on 18-21 April. By moving to Verona, Metef-Foundeq broadens exhibitors’ national and international horizons, multiplying visibility and business opportunities for those working in the industry, and unites Alfin-Edimet’s know-how and skills in the sector with the experience and professionalism of one of the most renowned fair grounds of the world. Metef-Foundeq is the unquestioned reference event for the international metal working industry, and is dedicated to raw materials, machines, plants, technologies, equipment, products and applications for the aluminium and foundry industry. It will be held simultaneously with the 5th edition of Metalriciclo-Recomat, the trade fair about industrial recovery and recycling of materials.

Since 1997, Metef-Foundeq has been offering sector operators a unique opportunity to take part in an event in which both the world’s aluminium and foundry industry ‘big actors’, and the sector’s small and medium-sized companies play a leading role. They have always found in Metef-Foundeq a chance to expand and strengthen their businesses.

EXTRUSION, ALWAYS A PROTAGONIST
Metef has always hosted producers of raw materials, extrusion press makers, die makers, the main producers of machines for processing and packaging extruded profiles, producers of automatic warehouse systems, varied tools and equipment and all products servicing the international extrusion industry. A production chain comprehensively represented by Metef since its first edition.

DIECASTING: INNOVATION IS HERE
Die-casting represents one of the top industries in Metef, which since the first edition, has hosted the main European manufacturers of machines for casting die-cast pieces, dies and deburring dies, producers of steels for tools, producers of lubricants and releasing agents, producers of design and simulation software.

FOUNDRY: INTERNATIONAL SHOWCASE
Foundeq - which joins Metef - is the international trade fair dedicated to plants, equipment and products for gravity foundry, low-pressure foundry, centrifugal and continuous foundry of all metals (steels and cast irons, aluminium, zamak, magnesium). The best of technologies proposed by national and international leading producers is exhibited. Since the 2010 edition, Foundeq has included a ‘Casting Foundries’ area showing castings for all metals, developed thanks to the effective collaboration of Assofond, the Italian association of foundries. In 2010, Metef-Foundeq hosted the General Assembly of Assofond, who chose the event as the ideal location for the most important annual appointment for the Italian foundry industry.

TRADE MATCHING: SUPPLY AND DEMAND MEETING POINT
Metef-Foundeq is the most renowned international market for the aluminium and metals industry, where solutions, applications, and exchange of know-how abound, but it is also an opportunity to gather supply and demand. This is why Metef-Foundeq 2012 is proposing special “business-to-business” trade matching services for exhibitors, which, by means of customized suppliercustomer appointments, aim at facilitating and setting contacts with VIP visitors, the most qualified customers authorized by the event.

ROLLING, TECHNOLOGIES AND APPLICATIONS AT THE TOP
Successfully opened in the 2010 edition, the Rolling Area is presented again at Metef-Foundeq 2012, a space for rolling technologies, hot and cold processes for finishing operations, focusing on applications of thin film rolls in packaging and electro-technical products, and on its use in building, transport, mechanics and furnishing.

THE BEST OF FINISHING AND ADDITIONAL PROCESSING
In Metef-Foundeq, surface finishing treatments, joining techniques and mechanical processing represent an important and strategic exhibition core. For this product sector the most innovative techniques, the leatest processes, the most eco-friendly solutions by leading international operators, will be exhibited.

LECTURES, SEMINARS AND ENTERTAINMENT
As per the previous editions, the 2012 edition of Metef-Foundeq will host a range of interesting and varied technical-business and market lectures and seminars by leading experts in the sector who will be presenting the latest innovations to all those who want to be up-dated on our continiously evolving industry. The “International Extrusion Forum” and the “International Forum on Pressure-Foundry” are just two of the various meetings lined up in the calendar of events. Social gatherings and shows have also been scheduled to entertain exhibitors and visitors as well, offering some diversion amid full business activities during and after the trade fair. Among them, the Metef&Golf tournament, and a Gala night in a historical location in the city of Verona.

METALRICICLO-RECOMAT: A WINNING SYNERGY
In 2012, simultaneously with Metef-Foundeq, MetalricicloRecomat, an established event at its 5th edition reserved for the industrial recycling of metals and other materials with high technological content, will be set-up in a special exhibition area. The synergy with Metalriciclo-Recomat represents an interesting opportunity for all operators in the metal chain, in which recycling is an essential component (www.metalriciclo.com).
