November 21-23 & November 28-December 2, 2011

What we’re learning
Our Bible stories for this week and next are “God Calls Moses,” “Pharaoh Does Not Obey God,” “The Plagues,” and The Passover.” We will see how God used Moses to carry out his plan for the Israelites. We will be reading “Jog, Frog, Jog,” “Tadpole to Frog,” “A Big Job,” and “Sweet Potato Pie” in our basal reading books. We are working with the “ch” and “sh” digraphs in phonics and spelling. In math we will learn even numbers, telling time, subtracting 0, and lines of symmetry. In P.E. we are starting our unit on ball skills. For Social studies we are learning about families and making good choices.

Here are some options for challenging your child: • Math-Tell time while shopping, at home, or attending other events. • Christ Light– Make a list of things you are thankful for. • Reading– Read other books about frogs and tadpoles to research and find interesting facts to share.
