Foreword
Maritime simulator and simulation has been becoming the important tool for promoting the maritime education and training, the research on maritime technology and the evaluation on navigational environment. The conference will provide a forum for researchers and experts who are involved directly or indirectly in marine simulator and simulation for exchanging knowledge and experiences and discussing several relevant issues. This conference succeeds to the “Korea-Japan Workshop on Marine Simulator and Simulation Research” which were held in Busan, Korea (2001); Tokyo, Japan (2002); Busan, Korea (2003); Tokyo, Japan (2004); Daejeon, Korea (205); Haiphong, Vietnam (2005). Since the last conference held in Busan, Korea (2007), this conference has extended the range of participants from Japan and Korea to all Asian countries. This eighth conference will be hosted by Japan Maritime Simulator and Simulation Committee cooperating Tyugoku Maritime Academy and Comprehensive Marine Technical Inc. in Hiroshima, Japan. The Organizing Committee is willing that many participants join the conference with excellent papers.
