In case of 200 and 400 TRX configurations check that there are boards on slots 19 and 20 (for slot numbering, see Figure 2), otherwise you must replace the JBXDUM fillers from slots 19 and 20 with the JBXLIU boards from slots 8 and 9, using the procedure below. The following table shows the boards correspondence in case of replacing JBXLIU with JBXDUM: JBXLIU Slot No. in LIU Shelf 8 9 Table 3: Boards Correspondence To move the boards from slots 8 and 9 to slots 19 and 20, in LIU shelf: 1. Put on an ESD wrist strap and connect it to the shelf by attaching the front or rear ESD jack 2. Unfasten the top and the bottom screws of the JBXDUM fillers. 3. Remove the JBXDUM fillers. 4. Unfasten the top and the bottom screws of the JBXLIU boards. The bottom screw is located under the handle. 5. Using the board handle, remove the JBXLIU boards. 6. Using the board handle, insert the JBXLIU boards to the corresponding slots, until you feel resistance (for boards correspondence see Table 3). 7. Fasten the top and the bottom screws of the JBXLIU boards. 8. Insert the JBXDUM fillers in the empty slots. 9. Fasten the top and the bottom screws of the JBXDUM fillers. 2.5 Powering Up the BSC Rack

Two people are needed for performing this task.

2.5.1 Check the Customer Power Panel

To check the rating of the fuses: 1. On the customer power panel, check for the existence of two DC power supply distribution circuits. Each distribution circuit is provided with a DC circuit breaker (fuse holder). (See Site-Specific Information (Section 1.2.2) ) 2. On the power panel, disconnect the two -48V power supply lines by using the fuse holders for the rack. 3. Check that the fuse ratings are in accordance with the SPP document (See SPP-59).

2.5.2 Check Polarity of DC Cables on BSC Side

To check the connection of the power cables between the site power panel and the power interface on the BSC side: 1. At the customer power panel, make sure the two power lines for the BSC are disconnected (breakers OFF) (See Site-Specific Information (Section 1.2.2) ). 2. At the A9130 BSC, check that the A1 to A5 and B1 to B5 switches, located at the front of the PDU, are OFF. If not, switch them OFF.

6. On the site power panel, connect the power supply line, using fuse holder A first. Circuit A is connected. 7. Test the A circuit. Check with the multimeter the presence of -48V and the polarity between BATA and BATR. 8. On the site power panel, disconnect the power supply line, using fuse holder A. 9. Repeat the previous operations for circuit B. Check the presence of -48V and the polarity between BATA/B and BATR on each circuit, then leave the circuits disconnected. 10. Replace the PDU cover plate.

2.5.3 Powering Up the BSC Rack

In the following steps power up only the shelves used by the installed configuration. To power up the BSC rack: 1. On the JSXPDU, check that the corresponding switches, Ax and BX are in the OFF position (see Figure 18) where: x is 1 for Shelf 4 x is 3 for Shelf 3 2. Check that switches on JBXPS modules are switched OFF, otherwise set them OFF. 3. On the site power panel, connect the DC power supply lines (circuits A and B). DC Lines A and B are connected.

Power Up ATCA3 Shelf

4. If ATCA3 shelf is used, switch ON (engage) the breakers A3 and B3. 5. Check on each JBXPS front panel that Rev. Power LED is OFF. If Rev. Power LED is ON switch OFF the breakers A3 and B3 and check power polarity on JBXPS terminals. 6. Switch ON the breaker on all JBXPS modules.

Power Up ATCA4 Shelf

7. If ATCA4 shelf is used, switch ON (engage) the switches A1 and B1. 8. Check on each JBXPS front panel that Rev. Power LED is OFF. If Rev. Power LED is ON switch OFF the breakers A1 and B1 and check power polarity on JBXPS terminals. If two shelves are used for the MFS, both shelves must be powered up. 9. Switch ON the breaker on all JBXPS modules.

Power Up JSXLIU1 Shelf 10. Switch ON (engage) the switches A4 and B4, if JSXLIU1 shelf is used.
