next holiday is Christmas, and school will close at 3.30 p.m. on Friday 16th December. We will re-open at 8.45 a.m. on Tuesday 3rd January. WELL DONE Well Done to Tyler Fowlston, who was part of the Christmas Light Show at the Frenchgate Centre. CHRISTMAS LUNCH Our Christmas Lunch is being served on Wednesday 7th December. If your child usually brings a packed lunch, they are welcome to join us for Christmas Lunch, but you need to call at the school office BEFORE Thursday 1st December to buy a Christmas Dinner Ticket, priced at 2. This is so the Cook may order sufficient food for all the children. RECEPTION NATIVITY PERFORMANCES This year, our Reception and KS1 Nativity performances are on the mornings of Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th December, and on the afternoon of Thursday 8th December. Morning performances will begin at 9.30 a.m. and the afternoon performance will begin at 2.00 p.m. We hope to see you there. CHRISTMAS PARTIES This years Christmas parties are all being held on the last week of term. School will provide crisps and juice, but we would be grateful for donations of biscuits, savouries and shop-bought buns. The dates are Reception classes - Monday 12th December Years 5 and 6 - Tuesday 13th December Years 3 and 4 - Wednesday 14th December Afternoon Nursery - Wednesday 14th December Years 1 and 2 - Thursday 15th December Morning Nursery - Thursday 15th December SPEAKING TO YOUR CHILDS TEACHER If you wish to speak to your childs teacher, on most occasions they are available before the start of lessons each morning or at the end of each day to deal with any immediate concerns. If you feel you need a longer discussion then you can see them briefly at these times to make a longer appointment for a mutually convenient time. However, please can we remind you that lessons start at 8.50 promptly and it is not possible to access classrooms at this time to speak to teachers as this would mean disturbing the lessons and breaching our security procedures. Therefore, if your child arrives late to school you will need to leave them at main reception if you wish to convey information to your childs teacher you may leave a message with the admin team either verbally or in writing and it will be passed to the class teacher. Alternatively if you have an issue which you deem important or urgent then Emma Cooke - Deputy Head may be available to assist, please ask at the office if you wish to see her.

THANK YOU Thank you to all the children and parents who joined in with our Children in Need appeal last week. Pennies for Pudsey was an amazing success, and we banked 259.52 on the day. Thank you again for your contributions. PLEASE BE VIGILANT A parent has informed us that two men, driving a large white panel van, have approached some of our ex-pupils and tried to entice them to get in the van. This hasnt happened in the immediate vicinity of school, but further into Balby, on Regent Street. However, we thought we would let you know so you can tell your children to beware of strangers.Thank you for your co-operation. SCHOOL CLOSED FOR STRIKE Please dont forget that the school will be closed to children on Wednesday November 30th, due to the Local Government Employees strike. We are sorry for the inconvenience. CROSSING LITTLEMOOR LANE AND PARKING We now have a new Crossing Patrol Warden, so please impress on your children that they should use the warden when they try to cross the road. Again we are asking that you park sensitively when you bring and collect your children, bearing in mind not blocking our neighbours drives or double parking and causing problems for children trying to cross the roads. Additionally, please park ON the pavement, as buggies and wheelchairs need do not the space on the footpath, as well as it being dangerous for children if you try to drive on the path. Thank you for your co-operation.

UPDATE TO EMERGENCY NUMBERS We are experiencing difficulties at the moment contacting parents when their child is ill, or left behind from an after-school club or activity. Please make sure, if you change your mobile number, or even move house, that you let school know. Thank you.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR NEWSLETTER We are encouraging the children to contribute to our weekly newsletter with stories, pictures and items of interest they have done in the classroom our outside school. The contributions this week are from Year 4, Indigo & Blue classes. Look out for more class contributions in the coming weeks
