Further Info on Fr. Anthony Cutcher

Tyson,

Information came to me this morning regarding Father Cutcher:

class at St. Peter School. Fr. Cutcher requested that

every day to Father Cutcher's Office for 10 minutes. It is unclear how long and how many times
these visits may have happened. eported this to Ron Albino. When Ron Albino found out about it, I
was told it was shut down totally. another teacher, was aware of this because
and Darren, the business manager, contacted the Archdiocese. yesterday.

Thanks!

Father Angi returned my call. He was very appreciative of our advice and agrees with the plan. is
the additional information he has.

Child is
Business Manager is Darren Backstrom, cell (763) 400-1082.

Music Director is Andrew Larochelle. Fr. Angi does not have a cell number for him, but perhaps Darren
does. The business number for St. Peters is (937) 233-1503.
Also of note is that the school principal is also somehow in the loop. His name is Ron Albino. Albino
told Fr. Cutcher he was taking what he knew to a higher level, and that is how call was made to Fr. Angi
yesterday. Albino was not on the call. And Fr. Angi said it was a violation of diocese policy for Albino to
tell Cuther that, which tipped Cuther off.

Kerry and Tyson, please proceed as discussed. I told Fr. Angi you would be in touch to make
arrangements for tomorrow to get cell phone should Ft. Cuther voluntarily hand it over or if today's
investigation provides PC for a search warrant. I told Fr. Angi I am leaving it up to our investigators and
him to decide if they should be involved in an interview with Cuther tomorrow.

Father Angi,
Greg Flannagan shared your email below with Mr. Heck and myself. I just left you a voice message. Our
thought is to have two of our investigators look into this today to see what other information the
business manager and music director may have, and if possible, contact the young man involved. I have
copied those investigators, Kerry Smoot and Tyson Dillion on this email. Kerry indicates he has worked
with you in the past.
What they learn today may help in determining how to approach Fr. Cutcher tomorrow. They are
available to meet with you tomorrow, as we believe it may be prudent to ask Fr. Cutcher to
1
voluntarily provide his phone to Kerry to be downloaded and examined; the phone could be returned
to Fr. Cutcher in a reasonable time.

Please call me or Kerry to discuss further.

Kerry can be reached at (937)496-6575.

Greg,

I am in need of some advice. You may remember a few years back that Father Anthony Cutcher, Pastor of St. Peter in
Huber Heights, was investigated concerning his computers and pornography by the St. Mary's Police Department in which
the pastor there torched the computer and said there was pornography that appeared to be child porn. The detective in St.
Mary's confiscated the computers at St. Peter and after a forensic analysis of the attorney general's office found
pornography but no child porn. We sent Father Cutcher for evaluation. He sees a psychologist and his computers are
monitored by RAN Consulting. Yesterday, the business manager and music director at St. Peter contacted us indicating that
Father Cutcher has been texting a young man since 2019 who was in at the school and is now
We placed Father Cutcher on leave yesterday pending an investigation. He will be
coming to meet with us tomorrow. Somehow, this might seem as grooming. What would you advise or is there anyone in
Montgomery County Prosecutors Office who could advise? Thanks for your help!

Items I have learned of Fr Tony's texting of a minor.

It started about a year ago when the minor was in 8th grade at St. Peter's.
Over the year three individuals have confronted him about this violation Ron Albino (school
principle), Andrew Larochelle (Director of Music) and myself Darren Backstrom (regional business
manager) — none of the conversation lead to any change of behavior. I have only noticed he
began to talk less openly of his communications with the minor. I know it is more than just
ministerial communications:
The minor has sent videos of his room, the video I saw was of a lights project in his room the minor
did with his dad o Father came to find out from texting with the minor that he was receiving
individual soccer lessons that were being taught at st. peter's soccer fields o Father would contact
the minor for information on what his high school was doing for online learning o I know father
contacted the minor and a friend of his to do you yard work around the rectory and that he paid
him and his friend directly. I don't not remember if it was more than once or how much father
paid them.
Father says the parents are aware of that he is communication with their son via text, but I have no
proof of this and no one has contacted the parents to confirm that this is true.

Lastly, I will attest that father does have an abnormal fascination for teenage boys and young adult
men. This has come to my attention from getting to know father through conversations and
observations.

Possible responses:
1) Request that he voluntarily turn his phone over to us to be downloaded and examined. Maybe
we should have an investigator there to take it? If it is not voluntary turned over (if they require
him to give to us, anything we find will probably not be admissible.)
2) If they know the identity of the child, someone should reach out to him discreetly.
All my thoughts come back to the fact that I don't like what he is doing, especially since he is a priest,
but at this point, no evidence of a crime. But if there is something criminal going on, perhaps we have
an investigator involved.
