Dharshana Muthumuni obtained his B.Sc.

(Engineering) with First Class honours from the University of Moratuwa (1993), Sri Lanka and his Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg Canada(2001). Since 2001, he has been employed at the Manitoba HVDC Research Centre. He has been involved in model development for the electromagnetic transient simulation software, PSCAD/EMTDC, providing technical support and advice on simulation issues and developing simulation methods for new and emerging technology. He has conducted over 50 electromagnetic transient simulation based training courses and workshops over the last five years. His research interests are in the areas of electric machine and transformer modelling, modeling renewable energy and their grid interconnection and protection methods. HVDC Centre:
The Manitoba HVDC research Centre is a fully owned subsidiary of Manitoba Hydro. The HVDC research centre develops and markets the industry standard software, PSCAD/EMTDC. The centre has an active research and development program and one of our main products was the first ever real time digital simulator (RTDS) for system and related applications.

Fee
The fee is 6000,- DKK for industrial people and 4500 DKK for PhD students from outside Denmark (free for Danish PhD students). The fee includes coffee, lunch for all three days as well as copies of slides and articles.
