EXPERIENCE:

Teacher Intern: Novi High School, Novi, Michigan August 2011 – December 2011 • I worked with three teachers, two in the World History department and was in charge of three classes for 14 weeks, planning and designing units, lessons, activities and assessments. I also worked with a German teacher and his IB German students, planning lessons, activities and assessments. UM School of Education – Social Studies Rounds Project Participant: Ann Arbor, Mi September 2010 – December 2011 • I was a part of the Social Studies Rounds Project. This project had me, as a pre-service student teacher, observing and teaching with five different teachers and in four different schools and completing five different research projects. I had the opportunity to see five different teaching styles and see four different demographics of schools before I completed my full semester of student – teaching. o Schools:  Novi High School; Civics and World History  Cody High School, Detroit Public Schools: US History  Northville High School: US History  Belleville Middle School: 6th grade Social Studies Study Abroad: Tübingen, Germany January – July 2010 • I am nearly fluent in the language at a B2/C1 level of speaking. I lived, studied, and experienced the culture of southwest Germany. VERY AWESOME, LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE! Business and Recording Staff: Michigan Marching Band – Ann Arbor, Mi August 2009 – Present • Work with other students to print all of the music and coordinates for the whole band every week and I record attendance for the band daily. Study Abroad: Japan May 2009 • Participated in a Japanese history class (at UofM) that offered a cultural/historical trip through five cities in Japan. Caregiver: Kennedy Care – Ann Arbor, Michigan 2009 – Present • Work as a primary aide to senior citizens, physically impaired and mentally impaired adults who require assistance.

Bible Study Co-Leader: Michigan Marching Band Bible Study 2008 – Present • Plan and facilitate a bible study with other members. We also develop retreats and social events for the group. Greeting Coordinator: New Life Church – Ann Arbor, Michigan 2008 – Present • Volunteer for New Life Church two or three times a month as a welcoming greeter to parish members coming to church. I also am one of the two greeting coordinators. I prepare the schedule for each semester and help organize our team. Tau Beta Sigma – Lambda Chapter - Honorary Band Sorority: University of Michigan 2008 – Present • Active member of the sorority. As a chapter, we work to serve the marching band and the community through music. Color Guard Instructor: Roseville High School Marching Band – Roseville, Michigan May 2008 – Present • Worked as the instructor of the color guard at Roseville High School for a summer. I taught the girls basic skills and techniques of spinning the flag. I also choreographed and taught the girls their Stevie Wonder show and helped instruct their drill for the show. Michigan Marching Band Member: University of Michigan 2007 – Present • I was a member of the Flag Line I commit my fall to learning seven to eight different shows for all home games and one to three away games a season, which includes daily rehearsals, all home games and any other performances as a band.
