EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

HEALTHLINE 24X7 India’s first free phone-based and web-based healthcare information assistance service. HEALTHLINE 24x7 is a Health Information Helpline and Assistance platform that offers identical yet complementary service over two channels – voice media through phone and digital media through the internet. The service is absolutely free and 24x7x365. HEALTHLINE 24x7 empowers people with reliable, relevant and in-depth health information. It is just a click away “www.HEALTHLINE24x7.com” from most browsers or just a call away at 33006666 from any phone – landline or mobile, from any telecom provider. The project cum internship has given me a great deal of insight in the marketing field per se in any sector. It has been very interesting as well as challenging. I got first-hand knowledge about the job as a marketing person, I also had an insight how the work is done by a sales executive. In the duration of 8 weeks I had an opportunity to face different people and I got to know the difficulties faced by the marketing executives in their day to day jobs. I also had the opportunity to study the healthcare sector in India and I could glean a lot of information from the different health care professionals I had interviewed during my internship in RELIGARE

RECOMMENDATIONS • The brand RELIGARE should be properly established in people’s mind first. Indian population too is moving ahead with the time and adapting the technologies. This Healthcare Information System will improve our society’s health. For this. Orkut to create brand awareness because the majority of the youth and other professionals use these networking websites. This information system will take our nation to new heights with this latest technology. which is a Toll free number where patients can either by calling or through SMS can avail the necessary information. As internet and electronic devices such as PCs and laptops are not available at everywhere or in emergency. for such cases. as it will provide lots of health information to a common man. 1 G DWARAKA PHALGUN {PGP/ISBE-B (MS)/FW/2010-12} . The challenges the product will face are substantial as the need to improve physical infrastructure to the necessity of providing trained medical personnel is quite high. • RELIGARE should use the local networking sites like Facebook. additional services are also available to avail the information from that Healthcare system.

1 G DWARAKA PHALGUN {PGP/ISBE-B (MS)/FW/2010-12} . • RELIGARE can collaborate with the different pharmacies and pathological and radiology labs.• Information regarding the latest developments in the medical field. latest drugs in the market etc should be available and it should be brought to notice of the target customers via sms alerts or mail alerts. • RELIGARE can also provide regional call centres because it becomes difficult for everybody to follow English or Hindi. apart from giving details about the services. When a patient calls RELIGARE requesting information regarding the above. • The portal should have a messenger system where the doctors can discuss medical cases with each other. they can also contact the pharmacy or lab and ask them to go for home sample collection or delivery of medicines whichever is required.
