INTRODUCTION All undergraduates student are compulsory to pass the Civil Engineering Seminar (SEMKA) before they can graduates. Seminar will be conducted two days during short semester at second last semester before graduates. The venue for seminar usually based on the centres. Our Seminar was conducted at P19. Several speakers from Civil Engineering practise will be invited to give speech in Civil Engineering including materials and structures, highway, geotechnic, hydraulic and hydrology and environment. Other topic such as safety and health, career opportunity after graduate, Institute of Engineering Malaysia and other related topic are also include during Seminar. Usually, people that invited to give a talk during seminar were involved in actual practise and working area such as JKR, IEM and others. All students was attend the seminar should follow all rule and regulation such as ethical in dressing, behaviour during seminar, punctuality and others. Students were given an opportunity to ask questions during Q and A session after all speaker give the talk. A report should be submitted two weeks after Seminar. Students were given a task to interview a professional engineer outside and include in the report. Questionnaire was distributed after the seminar in order to improve weaknesses through the result that we get. In conclusion SEMKA is one of the good ways to let students know the overall aspects in Civil Engineering.
