Lila has been relentlessly focused on savinglives from the brutality of abortion and the related abuse of women and girls since her early teenage years, is a graduate of UCLA, works endless hours, and has overseen the growth of Live Action from one person in her parent’s living room to a $16 million budget with over 40 Team members serving on aglobal basis to reach tens-of-millions monthly. For many years Lila received little or no salary, and the board is thankful that they can now fund a salary that is reasonable and in line with similar organizations in size and work for her skill and talent.Live Action is proud to provide competitive non-prot salaries to attract the best talent. Lila’s compensation is set at the sole discretion of an independent board, which takes into consideration the salaries of other organization leaders from non-prots of comparable size to ensure it is fair. Live Action also provides competitive non-prot salaries for all team members, attracting top talent.As noted on the publicly available 990’s, Lila’s compensation increased from $161,712 in 2020 to $234,794 in 2021 after an annual review and independent vote by the Live Action Board. In that same time frame, the sta size, organizational reach, and annual budget also increased, in additionto internal policies to ensure all sta salaries were competitive with other nonprots of similar size. Live Action has tripled in both budget and educational impact over the last ve years.Since its inception, Live Action has focused on distributing groundbreaking educational content to change hearts and minds ultimately saving lives. The broader pro-life movement has three key arms - education, direct support, and lobbying. Live Action focuses on education, while thousands of other pro-life groups focus on direct support through pregnancy resource centers and dozens more on lobbying. We are grateful for the work done by other groups and organizations to provide physical resources and to take on state ballot initiatives. While we do help and support those other eorts, our focus is to stay true to our mission to change minds and save lives.”
