Installation of Huawei Wireless modem of ETS 2288 (FWP) and ETS1201 (FWT) using CD

Complete installation of Huawei Wireless modem for ETS 2288 (FWP) and ETS1201 (FWT) (using CD) is three step procedure: Step 1: Installation of TUSB31410 Step 2: Installation of TIUMP USB Serial Port Step 3: Installation of Huawei Wireless Modem at available logical COM port. (In our case, shown below, this is COM3) +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Insert CD in CD ROM of your computer click setup folder. Following window opens. Click setup.exe Icon.

Choose Setup Language dialog box opens. Select English. Click OK

The following Setup prepares window opens. Click Next.

On seeing the above window, un-plug the USB cable and re-insert it in the USB port of your computer. (This is needs to be done if cable was plugged in USB port before inserting the CD in CD-ROM
and clicking the Set-up)

The following Select Install path window opens. Click Next.

The following Install Guide window opens. Click Next.

The following TIUMP USB Serial Port not found message appears. Click Next

The following Found new Hardware Wizard window appears. This wizard will assist you in installing TUSB3410. Keep the settings as shown and click Next

The following Search Hardware window appears

The following select the best match for your hardware dialog box opens. select the option as shown below i.e. TUSB3410 having location __\driverfiles\winxp\________

The following Hardware Installation dialogue box opens. Click Continue Anyway. This dialogue box is just a information window, hence do not STOP installation because of this dialogue box.

The following Completing the Found New hardware Wizard dialogue box opens for TUSB3410. Click Finish.

The following TIUMP USB Serial port Search dialogue box opens. Now the installation of TIMP Serial Port starts.

The following select the best match for your hardware dialog box opens. Select the first option as shown below i.e. TIUMP USB Serial Port having location C:\windows\inf\umpcompxp\______

The following Hardware Installation dialogue box opens. Click Continue Anyway. This dialogue box is just a information window, hence do not STOP installation because of this dialogue box

The following Completing the Found New hardware Wizard dialogue box opens for TIUMP USB Serial Port. Click Finish.

The following TIUMP USB Serial Port, Install modem on COM3 information dialogue box opens. Now the computer will recommend you to install the modem on appropriate logical port. In our case the said logical port is COM3, it may vary in your case. Click Next

Have patience; wait for at least 5-10 minutes while the Huawei Wireless Modem is being automatically installed and configured on your computer. The Following dialogue box will automatically appear after 5-10 minutes.

Now you need to Set a Dial up connection for accessing the Internet with your Garuda FWP/FWT. For this use another Guide.
