Miracle

Life is a miraculous gift which requires a miraculous care I had witnessed so many wonderful things in the world. Many of them were all about pregnancy and there were plentiful of amazing stories behind those scenes. I was really blessed for having been a part when the miracle happened. My brother was married to a woman at the aged of 29. They had a wonderful and very solemn type of wedding, simple yet graced with family and relatives. They were living in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, both are happy and are wishing to have their own child very soon. My sister-in-law conceived their first child making us all happy and excited thinking that the child she is carrying will grow just the same as with my brother. But all of a sudden, after five months, my sister-in-law had an unexpected spotting which caused the death of her unborn child. It was a very tragic and melancholic thing to all of us in the family. I can remember how excited my brother and her wife were on their future child but in just a snap, their child is gone. The same thing happened on the second gist of time. She is conceiving, but the ultrasound interpretation by the Doctor shows that she is bearing twin fetus who didnt have the same age. Everyone are wondering how and why that could have happened. We were personally advised to abort the twin as soon as possible because one of them may live and the other one may die inside my sister-in-laws womb. And if that happens, her life will be in danger too wrought about the poisoning effect of the babys corpse. We had no choice then, so we decided to abort the twins. Unplanned for the second time, my brother and his wife triggered more apprehension, they were upset and cried more than they have to. After a year, for the third time my sister-in-law conceives again. We were praying and summoning to God to allow my brother and her wife to hopefully give life to their child this time. They really wanted to have children on their own and live happily together. But the destiny didnt conform to what we all were praying for. After going to an ultrasound test, the results shows that my sister is having an ectopic pregnancy, meaning that the child she was conceiving was inside the fallopian tube. The Doctor promptly advised my brothers wife to undergo a surgical

procedure to remove the fetus inside her womb because they believe that this will not survive longer and may cause the fallopian tube to collapse which will then cause more serious damage to both mother and child. Even though my sister-in-law was very sad because of the news, she opened her heart and considered the advice of the doctor. They were, for the third time very sad and wished to see their child who was then inside the bottle. My brother saw the life they have created inside the bottle right after removing it and saw that the childs heart was still beating and fighting FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE! We were so sad for what happened, my heart pains for my brother and his wife. We all prayed and wished that soon my brother and her wife will have their own family. We are all servant of God, and we realized that because of our strong faith in Him, after all what had happened, we remained firm and keeps upholding the strong faith that God knows everything, and He will not let my brother and his wife suffer the odds for being childless. One day, we were sitting together while listening to the radio. It was a cold Sunday evening when one of the radio station, DWXI- EL Shaddai Prayer Partner Groups official radio station, had a story about a woman who sent a letter to their servant leader, Bro. Mike Velarde, about her journey in giving birth to her child. The story is all about a woman who didnt give up for her child. One day after 9 months of carrying her child to her womb, the Doctor confronts them due to the last result of her latest diagnostic test. The doctor let them choose to which life should be saved, its either the mother or the child . It was a confrontational time of their life. Her husband chose her and said to give up their child. But the mother resisted. She told her husband not to let her child be hurt. Because of her strong faith, she decided to go through an operation which they can both equally have the chance to survive. For her husband and for the doctor, that was impossible to happen because their condition worsens and almost everyone believed of the seriousness and fatality of the condition for both of them. The Doctor gave way to whatever the mother insisted. After one and a half hour of operation, the mother successfully gave birth to her child through caesarean section but the child was declared dead twenty minutes after birth. The married couple are so sad and hopeless. They embraced their child and let their love be felt by her. They both cried and prayed, summoned God to do a miracle and bring back their baby and that miraculously happened she SURVIVED! That was a very amazing story. A story that even a doctor and their relatives were astounded because of the miracle that changed the life of the couple. I also remembered an article which tells about a story of a women who also experienced the miracle by having her baby back after death. I shared this story to my sister -in-law and she was amazed by this. This story was about Mrs. Kate Ogg who tearfully told her lifeless son, Jamie, -

born at 27 weeks weighing 2lb - how much she loved him and cuddled him tightly, not wanting to let him go. Although little Jamie's twin sister Emily had been delivered successfully, doctors had given Mrs Ogg the news all mothers dread - that after 20 minutes of battling to get her son to breathe, they had declared him dead. Having given up on a miracle, Mrs Ogg unwrapped the baby from the blanket, took her gown off and held him against her skin. He wasn't moving at all and they just started talking to Jamie. They told him what his name was and that he had a sister. They also told him the things they wanted to do with him throughout his life. And then an extraordinary thing happened. After two hours of being hugged, touched and spoken to by his mother, the little boy began showing signs of life. At first, it was just a gasp for air that was dismissed by doctors as a reflex action. But then the startled mother fed him a little breast milk on her finger and he started breathing normally. Mrs. Kate Ogg was shocked and dont know whats happening to her lifeless son. Kangaroo care' technique, named after the way kangaroos hold their young in a pouch next to their bodies, allows the mother to act as a human incubator to keep babies warm, stimulated and fed. Pre-term and low birth-weight babies treated with the skin-to-skin method have also been shown to have lower infection rates, less severe illness, improved sleep patterns and are at reduced risk of hypothermia. A short time later, her son opened his eyes. It was a miracle. Then he held out his hand and grabbed his mothers finger. He opened his eyes and moved his head from side to side. The doctor kept shaking his head and never think that those scene will happen. Mrs Ogg and her husband David told how doctors gave up on saving their son after a three-hour labour in a Sydney hospital in March but she instinctively did what she did. If she hadn't done that, Jamie probably wouldn't be back. Those were stories that serves as an inspiration for me and to my family. We have been blessed for knowing those stories which brings my brother and his wifes desired and hope to boost again. They told that what ever happens, they will still pray and try to make their own family. We know that Gods miracle to others will probably happen to them soon. From that time, they accepted the advices

came from their doctor. An OB gynaecologist from Makati Medical Hospital offered her service to help my brother and her wife. After 4 months of being cared by the doctor, my sister-in-law conceives again without any known complications. She was blessed for having a great gynaecologist who gave her service with all her heart. After nine months of carrying her child to her womb, my sister-in-law experienced dry labour. She was admitted in hospital when her bag of water ruptured. The doctor said that after few hours, if the cervix will not dilate appropriately, my sister-in-law will have to undergo caesarean section. We rushed to Makati to reach the hospital after hearing the news and we saw my sister-in-law, in pain and crying . And we agreed to the doctors advised. We send her to operating room and let her undergo on operation. Minutes passed by, the doctor told that the mother and his baby little boy were safe. Tears immediately run on our chicks, that was a great news for us especially for my brother who are currently working abroad on that time. We were crying and rushed to the nursery room to see my nephew. He was so cute and big. He was healthy and crying out loud. We were so blessed for having him. After a long run, and having experience such trials from the past, my brother and his wife finally have their own child, not just a child but a healthy, and bright one. And he is now 10 months old, very cute and bright. o f the u s Miracles are a retelling in small letters the very same story which is written across whole world in letters too large for some of to see.
